    Horrible design. If you actually screw them on to ...Wish I could leave negative stars. Complete and utter junk- even as a cheap novelty. Horrible design. If you actually screw them on to the valve (tried on both presta and schraeder) tight enough that they don't flop around, they don't work at all once the valve stem comes into contact with the watch batteries. All that's not to mention the fact that the one I received was obviously a previous return. One of the lights battery caps was completely cross threaded...like at a 30 degree angle...how is that even possible??? And if it was a return, how terrible is the QA that it would be allowed to be resold? The body was cracked because of the cross threading. I was able to get the cap on that one and tested them both. The one with the crossed threads batteries were basically dead, about a 1/4 as bright as the other one. Also, the package was dirty and stapled closed. 1I am very happy with this productI am very happy with this product...I would have given 5 stars if there was the description of how to use it... it is very easy but when I opened the package I didn't know how to turn the led on...I removed a plastic ring wrapped around the batteries...and I guess I shouldn't have because that led does't turn on... I had bought 4 so I have three more that work perfectly and are very nice...and make the bike very visible! 4Also to get it looking like it does in the imageIt's okay, one broke after awhile of having it. They were rather finicky about when they would light up as well. Also to get it looking like it does in the image, you need serious speed - you won't be seeing that. 4unscrew the silver unit into two parts and remove the little piece of paper to activate the unit.Very bright. All the people leaving negative feedback you have to unscrew the two parts of the silver part of the unit and remove the tiny piece of paper to activate the unit for the first time. I do not understand. 5night riding at best.They get the job done. I like to ride my bicycle to the gym and sometimes I get a little carried away at the gym or being with a friendly conversation with someone andit causes me to have to ride 5 miles back home near dusk, down a dark commute. I do have an internal hub as well as bicycle frame lights and a light on the handle bars.These are great because they come on whenever I ride and It slows on looking drivers when my hub light and these stems crank up. 4Confusing to assemble at first, but working well now.So far, they are working as they should! It was a bit hard figuring out how to assemble them at first...you have to remove the paper in between the batteries and then align the batteries a certain way. I had a bit of trouble fastening them to the spokes, but now they are on. They light up the tires as the picture shows! One issue is that they light up even in the daytime (no way to turn them off), so I'm not sure if that will drain the batteries in the long run? 4Cheap, but.... cheap.Meh. Were cheap, so I did not expect much. But the suggestion in the description is that they are motion powered, but they are actually powered by a watch battery. In addition, they don't fit well onto valve stems -- the screw-on depth is inadequate, so if you screw them on tight, as you would certainly want to, they depress the valve pin slightly and let air out of the tires very slowly. The screw mount thread needs at least another eighth or even a quarter inch of depth. 3It just needs a little nudgeWhen I tried it for the first time I was spinning the wheel like a mad man at my house and it was working but when I went out after a few minutes the light turned really weak and just stopped entirely. After this it didn't light up even at 50+ Km/h. I disassembled it and figured out that the motion sensor part was working fine the problem was at the other leg of the LED. It turns out it failed to give contact always, as it should. So I tried a few things and surprisingly after taping together the batteries it started working like a charm. Since then I had no problems with it. 4Very neat. Some don't work.For under $2, they are very bright. All you have to do is unscrew the case, take out the paper seal (very easy), and screw it back on. It is activated by motion. When stopped, they are off. The batteries last a while too, have had them for over 3 months, and haven't had to replace them.UPDATE 05/26/15After ordering 6 more pairs of these, I realized that there is a percentage of them that don't work. About 1/4 to 1/3 don't work as well as they're supposed to. I still don't see a problem with this though, as 6 pairs was only $9.40. Out of the 12 that I received, 9 work to their full potential. 4Get what you pay for.I bought these as an add on so I'm not too inveested in them to be honest But I attached them to my kids bicycle and they didn't work, tried adjusting them by tightening and loosening tried adjusting the batteries and they just never came on for me. I saw a few reviews that suggested fixes and hacks to get them to work but I'm just not that invested or interested in trying them out. Things like this should work out of the box. Oh Well. 1
