Flaw in the quality of the football Bought this football as a Christmas present for my son. The football arrived inflated ready to use. The grip on the ball feels great and helps to catch and throw it a lot easier.These two pros is why I added 1 extra star.Now for the upsetting part of the ball that I received, the outer lining wasn't stitched right and it stuck out of the lacing. What's more upsetting is that this flaw got passed the quality control at Wilson which makes me not trust in their quality and workmanship. I guess I'll keep the ball and take it as it is. It's not like I'm going to play with it professionally. Buyers please beware of the quality. 2Great ball. Showed up fully inflated Great ball. Showed up fully inflated. It has not lost any air in the 3 months I have had it. It is really grippy and for all intents and purposes like any other ball in this price category. That being said, the fact that it holds air as well as it does and has not delaminated or come apart at the seams makes it well worth the money. 5Scuff Resistant I bought the Jr. size for my son a few years ago. It came with the pump, the kick off tee and it was scuff resistant. He is now older and wanted an official size NFL football. I first purchased the Spalding Never Flat Football which lasted 2 throws and one kick. The ball split, the leather pealed off so I returned it. Then the second ball I purchased was the Wilson F1100 Official NFL Game Football. After 2 throws the leather peeled off. The ball's Logo was crooked and it pretty much looked like an NFL reject.I was so disappointed in the two purchases I had made because the balls were falling apart and my old one never even scuffed. I had to look at my Jr. size ball and try to figure out which ball it was. After reading the writing on this one I figured it was the same ball and I purchased it.My son loves it. He has played with it for 2 weeks in the yard and it is the perfect ball. The ball spirals nice, has a good grip and it is scuff resistant. If you are looking for a ball you can throw around in the yard, this is the one to buy it will last a long time. 5Well well... ... great football! Our neighbors throw theirs by mistake into our yard and our dog thought someone gifted him a new toy! Ok their football didn t last long after our dog was done with it. So I decided to get a new one for our neighbors and bought that one here. Price was ok and the quality is good! It s has a really nice feel and grip. I didn't want to spend a lot for a leather ball. I read the reviews and ordered it so I could get another just in case. It arrived in a Wilson box, well inflated. Unless something goes incredibly wrong, what a deal. Seams are straight. No bulges. No obvious issues. Less than $20. If the game goes this well, I can't hope for more. 5Very nice football. It is definitely a great football, and I would recommend this for football enthusiasts who love a good game in the backyard on Sundays. My initial product did come defective (with a giant cut across the skin), but I believe that was due to shipping accident and they agreed to replace it for free so I am very happy. 5A great inexpensive ball This ball is great for the price. It's just a little cheaper than the Duke replica, but if you're buying a lot of balls it adds up.The color is a dark brown compared with the leather duke (top) and composite duke (left). So it's not perfect there. The composite material feels slightly worse than the composite duke.If you were only buying one ball id get one of the Dukes, but if you're buying 3+ balls that are just gonna get torn up from practice get this one. 5Excellent buy/Nice Quality! I have been using this football to practice with my son who plays youth tackle and flag football. We have been using this ball for about 7 or 8 months now on a weekly basis. It has been left in the car on a hot day, abused on the field and involved in many practice sessions. It has held up great and really hasn't shown any wear. 5Good for some light fun I bought this for my roommates and I to throw around outside when the weather is nice. I'm not familiar with what footballs should be like in terms of make and material, but it seems nice to me. We weren't too rough with it, but it did end up getting a rip in the outside material after only 20-30 minutes of throwing back and forth. If you're someone who actually plays football, this one's probably not for you, but it serves my needs well. 4
