Customer Reviews

Travel/Hiking Pants that double as Dress Pants!!!Love these pants for travel and hiking. Bought for my husband who normally wears a 36x34. 36x34 fit him well. The pants are slightly thin in the thighs (I think that is just the style) but have 4 way stretch so it didn't present a problem. We call them "fake work pants" because they look good enough to pull off going out while traveling, but are definitely made of material that is suited to hiking, traveling, quick washing and drying. Bonus - zippered pocket - excellent for travel and hiking, too.5The worst condition I've ever seen.UNIONBAY Men's Rainier Lightweight Comfort Travel Tech Chino Pants, Khaki, 40x32I like this pants and it fits me very good. But I could not believe the pants that I received this morning. (See photos)The waist line of the pants is ripped off and there is a stain mark. The reason I ordered this pants is I am already wearing a same pants that I bought before.I liked it so much, and I ended up buying a same pants with a different color.I am not sure how I can return this product since I've never returned any items before, and I live in Korea. Is there a special procedure to return this pants?I surely hope the seller will contact me and solve the problem.Follow up:I received an email saying I will get a full return for this matter. It was prompt, hassel free and orderly. I am very impressed by the quick procedure.4Great for travel--unless you need useful pockets....Very nice pants, extremely quick shipping. Khaki color is accurate to the picture, 34" waist sizing is perfect. Inseam is perhaps an inch shorter than the ordered 34", but acceptable. Certainly not a slim fit, but not overly baggy. A bit nosier than Dockers or jeans, but much much much quieter than the usual polyester/nylon fabrics; nice finish without the usual ripstop appearance--more like a brushed lightweight cotton appearance. Minus one star for the poorly designed pockets. All are much too narrow and shallow. Keys fell out of front pocket when I sat down the first time; normal sized wallet barely fits in back pocket and zipper is difficult to pull close when wallet is in the pocket; passport similarly barely fits in left rear zippered pocket; actually sticks out of right rear pocket; Nexus 5 with 5" screen barely fits in zippered thigh pocket so not sure a larger phone will fit. Thigh pocket is nicely done otherwise, as it doesn't bulge out like most cargo pockets. For pants called travel pants, you'd think they would have designed better pockets for travelers! Better home and office casual wear than for travel. All in all though, very nice for the price and I'll probably buy another pair or two for when these wear out.4Best travel/hiking/lounging pants for meThese are great-- though actually are sold by Costco (and presumably re-sold on AMZ). Fit nicely, have some stretch to them so they're comfy all day. Zippered pockets keep goodies safe, and they look sharp, too! Also, from practicality standpoint, they "resist" water, which means you can brush it off (if you hurry) if something spills on you, and they dry quickly. All in all, I've bought about a dozen of these pants, in different colors.5Very comfortable pants - Excellent, with some slightly negative comments.Love the side leg pocket, but it needs to be about 1 inch longer. Especially since you opted to put a zipper on the pocket.LOVE THE VERY DEEP BACK POCKETS, but the pockets sit way too low on the butt. These very deep pockets would be MUCH better, if they were higher on the butt, closer to the belt line. As deep as these pockets are, I will sit on, and crush, anything that is in the pocket. This is especially bad for mobile phone screens.Stretch pants are very comfortable by design, but, when your front pockets are vertical, as most dress pants are, they bulge and pull, when you put anything in them.Stretch pants should have horizontal front pocket openings, so that they stretch with the fabric, when you put something in the pockets. When you stretch horizontal front pockets, they lay flat, and are actually pulled flat, as more tension is applied. You're on the right track with these pants, but just slightly short of the mark.4I'd rather wear these than jeans and slacks.I originally bought these from a Costco for $20. I used them for work 5 days a week for the last four months or so; I only washed them once a month or when they got stained. I'm still using that original pair. Unfortunately, Costco doesn't sell them anymore so I bought extras froUnionBay Men's Rainier Travel Chino Pants (38x30, Khaki)m Amazon for about $31. I think they are the perfect pair of pants and I wish I bought more from Costco. The front pockets are deep enough so items don't fall out. the right side zip cargo pocket is perfect for my wallet while the left pocket works well for my cell phone since I use my left hand when using my cell. The back pockets have zippers for added secureness. The fabric is comfortable, dries quickly, and seems to be stain resistant. I haven't spilled oil or taco sauce on them yet, but dirt seems to wash off easily.5Nice light knock around pantsThese pants are very comfortable . I'm not a big fan of synthetic fabric in clothing because they generally don't "dress up" as well as natural fabrics. These pants are comfortable enough to run errands do house cleaning and chill out in. They apparently have a liquid resistant quality as water beads and slides right off. While some might say they'd wear them the same way they'd wear jeans, I'd draw the line at attempting to wear them with a blazer- the fabric and pockets just wouldn't marry well with a more formal look IMHO. Still, for knocking around in these pants are sweet. Please click "yes" if this review was helpful.5Comfortable and professional lookingI love these pants. Bought 2 more pair as my primary work pants. Good pockets, nice and stretchy with durable material and they look professional. One complaint is every pant I've owned has had a few loose threads that can pull and undo stitching. To resolve this I use a lighter to burn away the loose thread and that melts the end and stops the thread from pulling any further.5Lightweight. Dry quickly.Purchased for my husband. He has two pair of these, purchased at Costco's. Wanted another pair. Costco doesn't sell them any more, so I looked on Amazon. They cost more than original pants from Costco, but are worth the cost. They are lightweight, wash and dry quickly. A favorite of the wearer.5... in some sizes they are so popular and for good reason. The pants are light but dont feel ...Rainier Travel Chinos have become difficult to find in some sizes they are so popular and for good reason. The pants are light but dont feel flimsy. I was surprised how well they shield the wind and actually kept my legs plenty warm on a rainy day with temps in the low 40's. The fit is great, the cut is perfect and comfy with just the right loose/ tapered combo. An awesome travel pant I'm sure but I wear mine to work and they look casual sharp. Charcoal5
