    Works as intended, note that it's a security beltBelt has worked well for me. Very durable. But also really, really wide. I can hardly get it through the loops of pants at times. Also, there's nothing special on the end of the belt, so the front end will get worn down pretty quickly. To be expected with a security belt, though. Just note that if you're looking for some sort of fabric belt like this, security belts might be a bit different than what you need. 5Better than its Propper counterparts for sureI was actually looking for more such belts from Propper, my usual go to, but I stumbled across this TRU-SPEC belt and decided to try it because it was on sale and lower than the Propper ones that were also on sale at the time. Love it, it's more durable, yet more comfortable at the same time, and holds in place better. It even has a nice elastic band, which the Propper belts sorely lack. I am sticking with this one for holding up my trousers. I have since repurposed my Propper belts and modified them to use quick release buckles making them into everyday carry utility belts. Tru-Spec is my new go to for trouser securing belts. 5Finally, a BDU belt that isn't too stiffAfter a few years of trying to seek a better belt, I finally stumbled across this product. The material is rugged but not stiff to the point where it's uncomfortable while sitting. I can easily maneuver around while having the loops on my pants filled making sure it sits firmly on the waistline.The only complaint I have is that the Security Friendly Belt I received doesn't quite look like what's pictured here on Amazon. The stitching and design seems different and is actually flimsier than expected, but I'm still very happy with it.Now I don't have to throw away another pair of pants like I did when wearing the Spec-Ops Better BDU Belt. 5Great belt. Almost 3 years of use and still looks and functions great. Wear every day.**Update 2: almost 3 years old, and still a perfect belt. I never have trouble with it loosening. Also, in my previous update I stated that TSA made me take it off, but most recently at San Diego Airport, I did not have to take it off. Good ol TSA... One more incident and we'll all be flying naked...Also recently started both open and conceal carrying with this belt. It's perfect. Not too heavy and very durable.*Update: almost 2 years of use, and it's holding up much better than most my other belts. TSA at Norfolk, VA did make me take it off.This is the best belt I have ever owned simply because its lightweight and passes through security checkpoints without having to take it off. It was a bit longer than I thought, but one size smaller and it would have just barely been long enough. good belt, but I wonder just how long the plastic will last and just how strong it is. Only one way to find out I guess... 5Optimal value when compared with price. I rate it a very good buy.This belt is the option to buy at the right price point. When compared to the 5.11 TDU belts at twice the price, this belt holds it's own. Though slightly not as thick a webbing as the 5.11 TDU, it is every bit as robust and you will see no distinguishable difference whether just holding up your pants or used with your concealed carry holster.I bought both belts because I thought I would be disappointed with the Tru-Spec but was not the case at all.Optimal value when compared with price. I rate it a very good buy. 4Great belt. Not just for getting past airport security. Good all the time.Several years ago, when airport security had become a tiresome ordeal to get through, and it has only gotten worse in the years since, I bought my first TRU-SPEC Men's Tru Security Friendly Belt just to avoid the hassles of being scanned, poked, prodded and wanded. It worked of course, no metal no hassle. In fact I liked the belt so much that I started using it as my regular belt with pants where the broad width of the belt would look right. Now I am on to my second purchase of a TRU-SPEC Men's Tru Security Friendly Belt and could not be more satisfied. Just a great product. RECOMMENDED. 5Truly a great beltI previously ordered a Large by mistake and gave it away. Got the XL this time and it works great. With my 40 inch waist, I have about 6 inches to spare, which extends to the first belt loop and then into its own elastic belt keeper loop. It really fits great into the belt loops of both TruSpec and Propper brand tactical pants and holds their waistbands up tight and close. The 1.5 inch Propper brand belt that came with my Propper pants is just too narrow and reveals my Donelop disease too readily, but not this 1.75 inch TruSpec belt! Buckle held tight from the very first try and never slipped after a long day of climbing ladders, pulling pallets, lifting boxes, and both sitting and kneeling on the floor to assemble furniture. I hang a 1-liter water bottle, a phone holster, a carabiner for gloves, and multitool holster off of it, and it never sags or pulls away from my waistband. You just gotta cinch it up really, really snug. 5Rugged. To the point. Effective.Upon reading reviews, there's a hidden pocket built in, and I have no idea why it exists either. You can fit maybe a couple quarters, but that's it.Anyways, on to the product itself, there's not much to say, and for good reason. The width of the belt's neck is fairly bulky compared to some other nylon belts I have, but quite frankly it still fits, and does so very snugly. This helps it bear a load of weight with increased efficiency, I've come to realize, but it is not particularly comfortable if sitting down or needing mobility for long periods of time. However, that's not the point of this belt.In terms of function, it has no moving parts, which is perfect, and it's fast to put on, adjust, and it doesn't come loose. If you want this belt for rugged purposes, it does the job. Period. This isn't hard to come by in nylon belts, but the one I got in coyote brown looks bronze, given nylon's luster, and is quite good looking, too. Not the best looking nylon belt I've seen, but better than some.For serious use, I don't know what else you could possibly want. 5perfect fit for Tru-Spec pants, TSA still makes me take it offI wear size 34 pants. Bought this belt in size medium, which fits me perfectly with a couple of inches to spare (just enough extra length to reach the first belt loop). The width of the webbing is wider that most belts and a perfect fit for my Tru-Spec pants (but too wide for many other pants). I don't understand the "hidden pocket"; it's so small that you can maybe fit a couple of coins in there, but not a house key. I don't expect that I'll ever use it. Product title says "Security Friendly", but the TSA still makes me take it off at the airport. The webbing is stiffer than many other web belts, which seems to make the belt more stay up more easily. The buckle is simple, but more secure than other plastic belt buckles that I have tried. 4Good belt that is comfortable for all day wearIt is a good belt that is easy to use and the ends and sides do not show any fraying areas. The buckle is a nylon polymer design and is the focal point of the title description of "Security Friendly". This is not completely true. Yes, being that it is a nylon it does not cause any triggers or alarms on magnetic scan devices as there is obviously no metal to set them off. However, any major airport no longer utilizes magnetic scanning but rather full body scanners that now use "millimeter wave" machines, which bounce electromagnetic waves off the traveler to provide an animated image where a suspicious item might be located. That being said, this belt will in no way make your travels any faster as you will still have to remove the belt and send it through the x-ray with your shoes and all other belongings.Another point is for those who may use an Otterbox Defender holster/clip for their cell phone. This belt is just a hair to wide to slide down from the top of the belt when worn and safely "clip" around it. You will think it is secured and then slowly work it's way up and allow your phone to fall off. It has happened a couple of times. However, BEFORE you put the belt through the loops of your pants, take the time to thread the belt through the hasp of the holster and you will have nothing to worry about. I have been doing this for several weeks and have never had the holster ride up on the belt.The small pocket as listed in the item description is VERY small. I like several others simply use it to fold up a single bill in a denomination of your selection and keep an "emergency" bill secured, shhhhhhhhh, don't tell my wife! 4
