Love, love, LOVE this garment!!!What a beautiful "skirt"! I'm 56 years of age; 5' 3"; 120lbs...& this size MEDIUM skirt fit FABULOUSLY. I don't partake in "pirate dress up" so that's not the reason I purchased this item. I have a lovely orange sheath dress that, unfortunately, shows every lump & bump & panty-line. But not if I pair it with this skirt! (As you can see in the photo). The material is of a fantastic quality, SO well put-together & really quite heavier than I'd expected. I have absolutely NO issues with this item. I washed it as soon as it arrived (by-the-way, it arrived bang on time, it took just 2 days!) - & I put it in the dryer & it came out wrinkle-free & as perfect as it'd arrived. No shrinkage whatsoever. I am now considering purchasing other colours. I thoroughly recommend this skirt, you will NOT be wasting your money...as a matter of fact, I'd expect something this beautifully made to be more expensive than it is.5Fabulous romantic, medieval, Victorian, pirate skirtSo I bought this skirt for my trip to London just for the fun and its fabulous. I'm 5"4 and this skirt was perfect length. It works with any corset and should be considered for any goth wardrobe. I also received a leather business lovo keychain with it and it came earlier then expected. I was hand delivered it to which was awesome. I love this skirt.This is a nicely constructed piece. I normally wear a size 8-10 in jeans and I got a large and it fit perfectly. I am about 5'6 and the length was perfect so it didn't drag on the ground but you could hike it up or down if you needed to. I wore black tights under this for my costume and I think you would want to wear something under it because under certain lights you could probably see through the fabric. It's not cheaply made, it's just light.I love the ruffle around it, adds nice movement and some puff without being stupid. I got this in black and it has a lot of movement and detail of just folded fabric. I hiked up the skirt and let the ties hang down and that was also a really cool effect.I adore the high-low ability. You have strings to draw up the front or let it down - so you have a lot of choice in how to wear this. Seems so simple but it's really cool and allows you to really have a short skirt up front or full length or anything in between.
