Customer Reviews

Don't waste your money - they fall apart after the 1st use. I Wish I could give a zero review. These came and looked very nice, fit fine and appeared to be of good quality. 1st time I stepped into the water on vacation the inside liner/insert of the shoe began to slide around as the glue that held it in place apparently is not water proof and the whole time I tried to wear them on vacation the continued moving around making the shoe very unstable. In addition a weird piece of material that looked like paper began to fall off the soles of the shoes. There apparently is some sort of material placed over the rubber sole and I am not sure what purpose it served but it shredded away. Keep in mind this shoe was used solely on a sand beach and should never have fallen apart like this as this is what it is intended for and the use it got was very light. I would not recommend this shoe and I will not be wearing them again. Piece of junk made out of China.1Insole wads upI bought these as an alternative to using some sneakers for rowing practice, as our feet often get wet putting the boat in the water at the docks. These are total garbage. First of all, the insoles bunch up under your foot as soon as these get wet. They aren't glued down, and they are not stiff. It feels like a wadded up paper towel under the arch of your foot.Secondly, they really started to smell awful after a few uses.1Keep lookingLoved these for about an hour and then they started to fall apart. The padding on the inside started to bunch up it looked the the glue holding them in place didn't work at all. Also the bottom sole of the shoe started to wear almost instantly. I was only swimming in a hotel pool for a few hours- not strenuous activity at all. Bought these with the intent of bringing them on a trip to Mexico, but instead I'm returning them for hopefully something of better quality.1Wave mens shoes were durable and fit wellWe bought the Wave Mens Aqua shoes for a trip to Mexico. They fit just as expected. They were very comfortable throughout the day. No blisters or cuts from the shoes. They protected my husband's feet while letting him go into the water at the same time. The toggle on the back was a great feature if he decided to change how tight the shoes fit him.I would highly recommend the wave shoes if you are looking for a water shoe.5Fell apart after one use!!!!Awful!!!! If I could give negative stars, I would. I purchased these for my son because he is in between sizes 6 & 7 and I had a hard time finding a pair that weren't size 7/8 in store. I purchased a pair for me from Walmart that cost me less than $5. I bought these for my son thinking that they would hold up way better than the ones I bought for me. I WAS SO WRONG. We both wore ours today for the first time and his fell completely apart within an hour. Mine stayed strong all day and now that we're home, it doesn't even look like I wore mine at all. I'm so disappointed and frankly, just mad that I wasted my money. The inside soles on BOTH of his shoes came out within an hour of wearing the shoes and then shortly after, the front started ripping on both. One ended up completely ripping away from the bottom and it was hard for him to get back home since I didn't think to bring a back-up pair (why would I need to??). I ended up just throwing the inside soles away because I tried putting them back in and within minutes, they had come out again. So frustrating. I even took pictures before he took them off and then took another picture to compare them to my Walmart ones. Again, these were worn ONE time.1Great addition for cleared waterwaysFriends & I use these shoes for kayaking:Pros: I can now safely walk in the water without fear of finding glass with my bare feet. I can walk across Rocky surfaces without it killing me from stepping on sharp rocks.Cons: I find it slippery to cross certain rocks and over felled trees, barefoot works best for me for these situations. I might not be used to wearing them, but they feel strange. Overall I'd say they're worth wearing when out in water where sharp objects could slice your feet up, ruins a trip in a hurry.4Just RightThese are very nice shoes for walking in the river. They fit snugly and comfortably even with my wide feet. They do not collect rocks and sand on the inside, which is very nice. The mesh does not catch on my toe nails, which is very nice also. They provide good grip on slippery mud. All in all, very nice and comfortable river shoes. Just right.5Ehhh!Slight Interior lap over seam rubbing on the bunions make it slightly annoying but not overly uncomfortable for house use. When wearing socks this shoe is more comfortable.Like others noted, stitching has minor flaws and probably to thin a thread which is why it get's destroyed outside by some.My indoor slipper use however, should be fine. I put an old boot leather sole in it to make it fit better (I'm in between sizes and guessed to large)and to prevent what "all similar water shoes" do, long term usage loosens the material sole that annoyingly bunches up at your toes that many complained happened. Now (update review) as I wear it more I'm getting used to it, would add a half star now, if I could.3completely ripped apart on my boyfriend's first wear. when ...completely ripped apart on my boyfriend's first wear. when they arrived, the inner lining sole was already coming out of the shoe. hot glued it down, but that didn't work. he tripped in the river, and the whole top of the shoe ripped off from the sole. had to use paracord to try to keep the shoe together for the rest of the trip. you get what you pay for - buyer beware.1These aqua shoes fit perfectly - I particularly liked the drawstring at the back to keep it snugThese aqua shoes fit perfectly - I particularly liked the drawstring at the back to keep it snug. The day they arrived, I proudly slipped them onto my summer pool-ready feet and cinched the string tight. I walked about a block to the neighborhood pool over the smooth sidewalks of my suburban subdivision. As I settled onto the beach chair, I crossed my leg and looked at what was 10 minutes ago a nicely studded sole . . . to see that the short walk over concrete had sanded the tread almost flat on the heels and left the rest of the bottom scuffed and torn. The second day I wore them was to walk through a stone-lined forest creek on a backpacking trip. By the end of the wet crossing, the mesh in the toe had started to pull away from the sole and the insole lining pulled out when I took off the shoe to examine the hole in the toe area. I tried to smooth the insole back in, but it stayed crinkled up under my toes. The third day I wore them was to go fishing in a smooth, flat-bottomed jon boat. Having now worn them two times, the big toes on both feet were sticking through the mesh. It wasn't ripped, they just pulled away from the sole leaving a hole in both fronts. Lucky for me, I always carry duct tape with me! I encased the toes of both shoes fully in duct tape which also mitigated the shredding effect of walking on a sidewalk.I recommend if you buy these shoes, go ahead and pick out a matching color of duct tape so you can extend their life longer than the three days it took for them to fall apart on me.2
