    Big hips, no problem!I bought this to wear to the Renn Fest October 2013. I loved it. For $25 and change, it was excellent quality. I read all of the reviews on Amazon before purchasing. Originally, I bought a Medium and it was too tight. The Large however, was a much better fit for me. Returns were easy - free shipping back made my life better.I received MANY compliments on this dress. And I felt good for the price and time (about 1.5-2 hours) spent. MY dimensions: 5'2", 165lb, big hips, C cup, flabby tummy. :)Pros: material was decent; kept me warm; was flattering after a few adjustments; easy to wash in the machineCons: lace is cheap; the green apron look very weird laying as is; belt was useless; wish it were made for petites so that skirt was shorterTips:-I sewed the apron into a flattering style so that it sat in flowing waves all around but didn't bubble out awkwardly. I also made the skirt shorter by sewing around the top of the skirt.-The blouse hangs down a bit on my chest area. I am not used to showing SO much cleavage so I sewed up the sides of the corset to pull slightly higher on the vest. Remember, this is made for a longer, straighter torso. It made my husband happy. :)--I am NOT a seamstress at ANY level - my "expertise" includes buttons. But hijacking this dress was easy. My amateur sewing was easy to hide under the vest and corset.I am leaving a review a year later because I intend to wear it again this year but maybe dress it up a bit more - yay for gorgeous and simple braids! I recommend this to anyone. Hope my review helps someone make a decision to buy this!4NICE!Quite satisfied. very flattering dress, the lacy ties are adjustable, some were unsewn and loose. So I'm going to redo the ribbon on the laces since it was laced every other. But be sure you know your size. I am a size 12, 6 foot tall and tried the L, but I returned this for the XL. It's plenty long for me too, falls to my upper calves. There's no zipper, so it was difficult to remove it as it was tight on my back. Since the pic didn't show the back side, the back is not low, brown fabric goes up to your neck. I'm looking forward to wearing it to a reception/costume party. The belt is flimsy, but not bad. Amazon shipped very quickly. I bought the 'rock star' wig on Amazon and replaced the ribbon with longer length to lace each loop, the belt was 50cents at a 2nd hand store and used my own boots.4Im happy with the purchase - and the costume seems to be reasonable qualityI originally ordered an XL based on the comments but when I got it ; it was too sloppy and large - I thoulght I was about a size 10 and going up would put me in an XL according to comments but I reordered in a large and it fits great -This company shipping is amazing - they send out my new smaller size quickly - I am waiting for my credit for the returned XL but I don't suspect there will be a problemI would definitely order from this company again -- and the belt looks cute - not sure what the other people are seeing- its a costume so its not a genuine leather belt - its a vinyl slip on belt but looks cute when you tuck the apron inside like the picture shows4Not a bad costume for the priceOverall I liked this costume, but the lacing is so fragile, it ripped off in several places while I put it on. I had to pin it in several places, namely - connect the "corset" sides with a pin in the bottom, pin the top to my bra straps as it was extremely loose and pin the belt tight. I also had to fix the lacing loops on the corset. I got size S and it was true to size - I'm 114pounds and 5.6 foot. For the price it's not a bad costume, just requires some work. I felt very pretty in it and got a lot of compliments at the 2017 Georgia Ren. Festival. And it did not fall apart by the end of the day, so that's definitely a plus. I also got a Darling Robin Hood costume, which is a much better quality and will be worn every other time, so hopefully both of them will serve me for years.4Best costume I have ever bought!I wore this to the Georgia Renaissance festival and I got so many compliments. I felt beautiful in it. I paired it with a pair of brownish boots and and a flower crown. I kept the original belt and lace and it worked fine for me. I definitely made use of safety pins to keep everything in place. I pinned the belt to the dress to keep it in place (did it underneath where the skirt folds over to keep the pins concealed). Then I pinned the fabric from the skirt to the belt so it wouldn't fall down. The fabric around the shoulders was too lose and drooped down on my arms more than I liked, so I bunched the material up behind the strap of the dress and pinned it there. After all the safety pins were in place, the dress was perfect. I arrived at the festival when gates opened and didn't leave until they closed, and the dress looked just as great leaving as it did when I got there.I am 5'2", 135 lbs, and normally wear an 8. I purchased the Large and it was perfect.5Great Value and VersatileFor the price, I truly cannot complain! Nice material. I wish it was two piece or three, as the one piece makes it a bit more difficult to get on and off without ripping something, so be careful when you put it on and take back off.Be easy on the lace as it is super thin and the loops are cheaply made and can pop off with too much pressure. I would recommend to skip every other loop and leave it loose. The belt is super cheap and doesn't stay and you will lose it as it comes undone. What I really love is that you can make this outfit into several different costumes for different occasions. I ordered it for an Octoberfest party at a friends, however, I tried on different boots and added different accessories. What I found out is that it is great as a pirate costume or a wench costume at the Renaissance Fair, or anything else you can imagine. The neutral colors make it so easy to pair up with many things.The only reason I did not give 5 stars is just because I think it would be a better value if the outfit was more than just one piece. Otherwise, I highly recommend it. As far as sizing, I got an extra large per other comments of it running small. I am not a size 6. More like a size 12 jeans. I am 5'5" and about 175lbs with a 34DDD bra size and it fit great. I was worried about the chest and arms, but it is very stretchy material.4Great purchase.Many compliments, I wore it to the Renaissance Festival and it was a hit. I should have went one size bigger. I ordered a small and it was snug, thankful that the material is strechy and I was able to squeeze in (with help). You will certainly need a better belt. The cute leather bag was purchased that day as a added cell phone carrier. Lol. Super happy with my purchase.5Nice for the priceI ordered a ton of costumes on Amazon so I could try them on at home and keep my favorite. Amazon's awesome return policy made this possible! I'm 5'2, 132 lbs and typically wear a sz 6 or 8 in clothing (or small-medium). I ordered a size large and it fit fine, so this does run small. I was afraid it would be too long because of my height, but the length was perfect. So, if you are very tall, it may run a little shorter on you.The fabric was comfortable and I like how it was all one piece vs. separate skirt, top, sleeves like some of the other costumes I tried. The only thing I didn't like on the dress were the eyelets and ribbon for the corset. Very cheap looking in person. And the belt is garbage. You will have to pin it to make it stay in place and it's pretty ugly. One thing I didn't realize until I saw it in person is that the green 'apron' is not permanently bustled as in the photo. The model has it tucked into her belt. If you want the same effect, you will have to pin it up because the belt is way to flimsy to hold it in place for any length of time.All in all, it's a great costume for the price. I ended up returning this one, but only because I needed it for a pirate costume and would have had to order an additional hat.4This was a perfect costume for meThis was a perfect costume for me. I was Maid Marian and my husband, Robin Hood and it was more than expected. It's quite flattering. The size runs "fitted". I am normally a medium on top and a size 10 pant, so I have hips and a chest, but a small waist. I ordered the size L and it fit perfect. The bustle is a bit hard to work with (I'm a C cup, 36 round) and the second time I wore the dress one of the loops broke, this probably won't happen with someone who may have a smaller chest. - nothing I can't fix because the dress itself is darling! I got many compliments wearing it and it was surprisingly comfortable. I'm 5'6 and the dress came to bottom of my calf, top of my ankle, just enough to wear a high boot. You'll want to wear a strapless bra or a bra that has straps that can be easily tucked out wide. The vest comes wide and doesn't run along a normal bra line. The price and product are perfect for what you are getting! And it was a wonderful relief having something fit so lovely without having the ability to try it on or see it in person before purchasing.5Ordered Extra Large instead of Small and still fit decentlyI accidentally ordered an Extra Large thinking it was an Extra Small, but it fit surprisingly well on me considering that. I'm 5'3" 115 pounds, bust: 34", waist: 25", and hips: 34", so an extra large dress would generally fall off of me, but size comparison wise I would have guessed it was a medium. The material was quite stretchy and soft throughout the whole dress. The outfit was barely was dragging on the ground, and I'll probably only need to hem it and inch or two to make it the ideal length for me. The ribbon on the corset came laced only though half the loops, and the ribbon needed to be ironed badly. The belt was also creased intensely, and strangely had no way to keep the size in place. If you look at the display picture they have the green part of the dress tucked into the belt which seems to be their way of dealing with the awkward flap of fabric on the belt. Overall, once I tailor the dress to be the size I meant to order, iron the ribbon, and stick some velcro on the belt I'll be completely happy with it.4
