I wanted black, I ve been looking on and off for a while, noting struck me. My sister got a red straw fedora and put a peacock feather in the side, omg, it is stunning, but I wanted black. I got the s/m, I have a mess of curls that fall on my neck and shoulders and this fits. I can also brush my hair back or blow it out, this fits. I get compliments whenever I wear this hat, which is normally with a black or white or herringbone linen dress or pant suit, or a long 3/4 sleeve big white or black shirt, pop the collar. I actually took my sister to Fogo de Chao for lunch on her birthday. We were walking to our table, omg, six women stopped me complimenting my fedora, where did I get, when I said Amazon, they were shocked. One older woman tapped my arm at the salad bar and told me, don t forget your hat or it will be missing. I personally recommend that you not wear it in downpours, you never know if the black straw will bleed or fade once really wet, but in a light shower, give it a go.5Sizing is great, hat is well built, lots of complements.I LOVE this hat! I love that this came in options for the size of your head - I have a large head for a women and typically can not buy those one size fits all because they look like they are sitting on top of my head. This hat fit well. The color of the hat is a coffee latte color. I got a lot of complements with this hat and it was nice to have another option besides a baseball cap. I wear a 7 3/8 or 7 1/2 hat size (depending on make) and this fits me very well. So, why the 3 star review? This was shipped to me squashed flat.... not a little flat, absolutely flat... in a padded manila envelope. I'm not kidding. Someone actually squashed the hat flat, and slid it in an envelope. After two months, the hat only now is almost devoid of the creases that created. I really do love this hat, but be aware it is going to take some time before it looks good enough to wear, if it is shipped as mine was.5*UPDATE* Came flattened in an envelopeMy original review is below. After posting this review the seller sent me a replacement, which was shipped in a box instead of an envelope and the hat is undamaged. I've tried to open the hat up a bit to see if it would regain a normal form but it was flattened so badly that it's basically creased in several spots. I'm glad others were lucky enough, but the hat I received is unusable.4
