    Good Price vs Relatively shorter usable lifeI have used these docklines for 2 seasons, and have found them to be reasonable quality considering the price. I installed chafe guards (I used retired fire hose material, fastened with zip ties to hold them in place) The good: nicely made, good hand, length was as expected, good shock absorption as one would expect from nylon. The not so good: even in areas where they are not in chafe zones, the lines have begun to get fuzzy - meaning that the yarns are breaking, probably from sun exposure after 2 years in a northern climate (Long Island). I think that I might get 1 more season out of them. Note that I have some lines on my boat - mainsheet, halyards etc- that are also double braid from the major line companies that have shown none of this type of aging even though they are more than 10 years old and in the same environment. So, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. If your boat can handle it, buy one size larger so that you have the strength to hold your vessel, even though the line isdeteriorating. 3Good value but chafes very easilyYou can't beat the price of this line when compared to buying from your local boating store. However my experience after a few months is that this line is NOT chafe-resistant at all. I've been using it to tie my 23' Parker to its slip, replacing some lines I had for 5+ years that were not showing signs of wear. Within two months, these new lines are badly chafed and I don't expect them to last more than a full season before they part.As a result, I have relegated them to use as temporary mooring or "tie up" lines since I don't trust them to stand up to daily use as dock lines 3Don't buy!Don't buy! These dock lines are very poor quality. Mine broke within about two months of replacing my previous pair, which had lasted 10 years. Its braided construction with a cotton yarn core rather than twisted construction with nylon ;yarn. Used for a pontoon boat on a small inland lake. 1Dockline SupremeI have been boating all my life, from Florida to California, and even to the Abaco Islands. This is simply the best dockline you can buy. Besides being well made, the gold/white is also beautiful. I use the 5/8" x 20' because it fits nicely in the boat cleats, and yet has the strength to pull a 50' boat. By pulling the loop through the center of the cleat, and then running the line back through the loop, it makes a secure fit that won't come loose during use. The flexibility is great for handling and coiling. Nice to see a great product that works like it's supposed to. 5ValueI have purchased more SeaSense docklines than any other company. They have great prices and they hold up really well. 38' boat with 90mph gusts and the boat is still tie to the dock. Exactly what I was hoping for. The black color looks great and the lines have remain flexible throughout their life. Great product. 5Great product.Good quality dockline. The loop is seriously strong and properly inter-twine braided. The fit and finish of the outer layer was perfect with no cuts or improper weaving. I am very pleased with my purchase. 5look and feel great but pull and snag easilyI had high hopes for these dock lines. They feel heavy and luxurious as a satin robe. Unfortunately they pull and snag like a loose knit sweater. The outer braided cords are not tight at all. You can easily push them aside with your thumb to expose the white inner core. In my lake most of the tie ups are rough wooden dock poles which can easily snag these loose cords and pull them out. Most of them can be worked back into the rope but this is not something I want to be worrying about every time I tie up. I hate to return them because the price was amazing and they look and feel great but I just don't think they will be a good long term solution. 325' is really 25' with this productI noticed that some dock lines are actually shorter than advertised. This is a full 25' end to end (Including loop splice). Seems very pliable, but we shall see after a year of use. I got the 1/2" but probably could have used 3/8" for my Sig240 cruiser. 5a great product and delivery.hello, this dock line is a replacement for a thinner one that broke during those nasty 30 mph winds several weeks ago. the older one that broke was a fender line used as an extra mid dock security line. it kept the boat from moving toward the dock. but, over several years, the motion was too much for the 3/8 inch line. this time, it will be a 1/2 inch line. it should not break at all. seasense always has great boating supplies. this line is top quality and should last for quite a while. a great product and delivery. 5If you fish by yourself you need this or something like it2,000 lb boat bass boat and launching by yourself this is what you need. the length allows you to float it off easily then put your Talon down to hold it in place and tie the other end to the dock. Problem solved. Tied a H/D clip onto one end and the other braided end will slip over the mirror on your vehicle or around your winch your preference. 5
