Neoprene padding is exactly in the right place to reduce "cutting" typical of straps.The weakest link in my workout is my grip. It gives out long before my back or traps or shoulders are fatigued. Though I'm working in improving my grip with other exercises, I need something that solves that problem in the meantime: LIFTING STRAPS.I usually happy with my previous straps which were only canvas the entire length. Then I lost one. Unfortunately, they would sometimes cut into my skin, leaving angry red marks, if I really loaded up the weight. These, however, have a comfortable neoprene pad in exactly the area that normally digs into your wrists when supporting a heavy load. They are way more comfortable and really reduces the redness typical of most lifting straps.I didn't really know what to do with the second item that shipped with this bundle (the WRIST WRAPS - different from the LIFTING STRAPS). But, after watching some videos with people using wrist wraps, I'm looking forward to seeing if they improve some exercises that might benefit from more wrist stability (like bench press). 5Would buy againInitially when I placed my order, something went wrong and I only received the wrist wraps and missed out on the lifting straps. A quick call to Amazon customer service, they issues a refund, and I reordered. Normally this ordeal would have put me off the whole thing, but I've borrowed a friend's Rip Toned lifting straps before and I wanted a pair of my own.After I received the new order (which had everything in it), I notice the wrist wraps in the combo pack had a weaker elastic than the original order came with. The original order and the second order both had the same serial number on their packages, but the original order was for sure the beefer 18" straps. Something got mis-coded somewhere.So, in the end I've got the lifting straps that I wanted and already know I like. Plus I got a set of their monster wrist wraps which I'm very interested to test out. Just trying them on at home I already like the feel of the stronger wraps than the ones in the combo pack, but that's a matter of comfort, fit, and liking a stiffer hold on my wrist. 5Great wrist straps and wrapsGreat wrist straps and wraps!!I had a wrist injury a couple years back and when pressing dumbbells/barbell my wrist would hurt at the end of the workout. With the support these wraps give me, I can push past the mental barrier that my wrist will be hurting in the end and thus, pushing me to press more weight. Wrist is doing great and I never forget these babies. Straps are worth the price of gold once your grip goes out in an intense workout. Gotta rock the camp as well.5High quality lifting gearQuality and construction seems very good. I plan to change my workout routine from crossfit-style HIIT classes to heavy lifting again after my current gym membership runs up, so I decided to upgrade my old lifting gear. I've never used wrist wraps before, so I have nothing to compare to, but these seem like they will work fine for me. The straps are a huge upgrade from my 25+ year old straps. Padded wrists and much thicker, longer and slightly wider than my old ones. Having various colors to choose from is a plus too. I tried them out on some 50 pound dumbbells at my house and they work exactly as they should. The only negative is that the stiffness from being new makes sliding through the loop a little difficult, but after some use or even putting them through the washer and dryer should fix that. - based on first impression, I have no problem recommending these. 5Poor quality wrist wraps, decent straps.The wraps are considerably shorter and thinner than name brands and considerably thinner and smaller than the max allowed by powerlifting federations, they offer minor support but if you're moving any weight or have thick wrists you will absolutely want an upgrade ASAP. The straps are a great material but a but more narrow width than most brands which is a shame but they're still serviceable and seem to be lasting.I'd skip this "deal" and spend a bit more to begin with in hindsight as i've ultimately ended up buying better quality wrist wraps and straps separately. 2He had his birthday recently and I decided to replace them so he could continue to enjoy working with the free weightsRecently, my son started to join me in going to the gym, which, let me tell you, means the world to me to have someone motivate me to get off my lazy butt, rather than going solo. He loves working out, but doesn't have the strongest grip to hold many of the free weights he uses. He bought some wrist straps to help, but left them at the gym one night and they were never seen again. He had his birthday recently and I decided to replace them so he could continue to enjoy working with the free weights. These came with additional wrist wraps which he did not have before, and he says it makes lifting heavier weights much easier on his grip and wrists than just the straps alone. I would highly recommend these to anyone needing some help with their grip if they are doing free weights, or even machine based pull down bars that could slip out of your grip. Money well spent in my opinion. 5Value for moneyThis bundle was exactly what I was looking. Matching lifting straps and wrist wraps and the price and money back guarantee was icing on the cake.Let me begin with the straps. They are sturdy, comfortable and really do help those with poor grip strength. I immediately felt a difference when deadlifting as usually I would struggle with 150lbs and I lifted it like it was nothing. Now for the wrist wraps, I wish the velcro portion was a little longer as I am relatively small so I have to wraps them about twice and usually there's a piece sticking out but it's not a deal breaker other than that they really do help especially for bicep curls before I would get pain in my wrist but when using them they keep the wrist firmly in position and comfortable. 5Decent wrist wraps and lifting straps. Comparable to more expensive versions.Used these once so far for a good shoulder workout. The wrist wraps worked great when using them for some standing military presses. Haven't used them for anything else so far. The lifting straps worked just like any other lifting straps. I did notice though they were easier than my other straps to cinch up on the bar one-handed. Not sure if that is just because they are new or the material is different. The main difference between these lifting straps is they come with a little strip (about 3 inches) of padding on them. I didn't notice much of a difference. Either way, they worked fine for some heavy barbell shrugs. I really got these because I needed some wrist wraps and the lifting straps came with them. No complaints here. 5Quality for the priceI was looking for some new straps and amazon is my go to. I happen to see this combo for a price I couldn't say no. I bought them and didn't have great expectations for them considering the price but it said they had a lifetime warranty on them.Long story short got them tried them on and within an hour went to the gym to give them a test run. (It has been over a week since I ordered these so I have had a chance to test them out on different lifts.) Point is, buy them! Straps held up great on deadlifts and wrist wraps were very comfortable and supportive during bench work. These are a little thick Cotten wraps so they are not super stiff if you are looking for that but they do the job.Overall I am glad I went with this combo purchase because I wouldn't have found a better deal. Just wanted to leave my experience I had with them to help other lifters choose wisely.(I was not paid for this feedback in anyway) 5So far EXCELLENT productIm not normally a big user of extra gear in the gym, however after a partial ring finger dislocation during a "mud run," and suffering significant soft tissue damage I was forced to consider lifting straps to assist with my "pulling" lifts (lat pull down, rows, etc). I was cleared for activity by a orthopedic doctor, but told to let pain be my guide. After trying out a pair of very well worn (and nasty) community use pair of Harbinger straps at my gym, I decided to order my own and went with the Rip Toned Lifting Straps + Wrist Wrap Bundle (best deal I could find on Amazon with good reviews). So far after 2 uses I have to say the straps are awesome. They do what they're supposed to do and they do it well. No slippage while lifting, no pressure on my injured finger, and I'm able to keep them in place with minimal pressure from my index and middle fingers. I've been able to keep lifting, and maintain my poundage thanks to their product.In comparison to the Harbinger straps at my gym, these are much CLEANER since they are new, they are a little over an inch longer in length, and even though the Harbingers are very well broken in -- the Rip Toned is much easier to work with due to the strap material they use. I find the more flexible material to be a huge plus as they required no break in. Personally, I think these will hold up very well over time, if that opinion changes I'll certainly post an update.As far as the wrist wraps, I'm not an extremely heavy weight lifter at this point, but today I did use them for support while doing some partial rep bench presses to work on my sticking points. Piled on more weight than normal to really hammer on those sticking points, and the wraps did an excellent job of giving me some extra wrist support.Overall great products, and when contacted with questions their customer support has been top notch!!NOTE: I did NOT receive this product free for review purposes -- this review is based on products that I actually purchased. (However I would love to try out anything they wish to send my way ;-D ) 5more than worth it!!I am relatively new to the lifting side of the gym, I used to only use the machines and wanted nothing to do with the free weights. A buddy of mine convinced me to start working out with him in the free weight are and it turned out I really like it. What the machines never gave me was grip strength. My 1RM was so light compared to when I used his straps, so I had to go get my own. I found the set from RIP TONED and to be honest price wasn't even part of my criteria, it was just that it came in a set.When these came in i was instantly satisfied and once they got in the gym I was even more pleased with the purchase. I received a (different) prior pair of these straps in the past by Rip Toned and was pleased. But these straps are much thicker and a heavier duty material. I also like using the wrist wraps when I do heavy pressing movements like military presses or benching. I haven't used wrist wraps before and and now glad that I have some. I also like that these have some cool color options to choose from. This helps me to distinguish mine from other people's straps/wraps and hopefully this will also help deter them from "growing legs" and walking away.I would recommend these to my gym buddies in a heart beat.5
