    Private Island Hawaii swim shortsSuper happy with quality, look & fit of the Private Island Hawaii short (I bought these to wear on our Pontoon & swim in). I am a size 10 & bought these in Large. Fit is great, comfortable. Slide on with ease, not tight & no concerns as of now that they might slide down when wet. They are light weight but husband says not see thru (at least the black & navy color). Only concern I have is they are a little too "friendly" in the crotch area so may consider wearing panties underneath. Other than that, I am beyond happy with this purchase & would recommend.5Used as a plus size swimsuitI have the shirt too. I've only worn it once at the local adventure/swim park. The shirt didn't lift or the shorts roll down when in the wave pool. I ordered the 3X in both. I usually wear a 2X top and 16 or 18 pants, I'm 5'4". I'm big all over with extra in the tummy. The shirt is form fitting but not skin tight on me, it did loosen up in the water. I thought it was the tightest in the arms, which didn't bother me. I didn't wear under wear, but i did wear a sports bra. Overall I'm very pleased with this outfit. I actually wore a long t-shirt over it at the park to ride rides, then wore it out damp after swimming as an outfit. I have both the navy blue/white and the grey/blue, pleased with both colors. I hope this review helps.5My favorite swim bottoms!I love these and will order more. They fit true to size. they are very comfy and a nice fabric. I got them for a trip to Jamaica where the sun is brutal and I am very pale and burn really bad. These did the trick I had no burn under these. They also dried very fast after being in the water which is very important as others Ive bought seem to stay damp and chafe and bother my skin. I always want to be in these. Perfect length for those of us who don't like showing too much skinned like the length of shorts. AAA+++++ Will be ordering more!!!5Waistband too tightI was really excited about getting these, partly for sun protection, partly just for coverage, but I don't like the way they fit. The shorts themselves fit well, but the waistband is way too small. It gives me a nice little (or more than a little) muffin top. I'm 5'7" and weigh 140 lbs. Maybe I should have gotten a L, but I'm afraid the legs would be too loose. Oh well, I guess I'm going to be finding ways to stretch out the waistband.Other than that, I like the material and the way they fit.4but I'm fine with thatFits as expected. I normally wear an 8/10. Ordered large. Band cuts into my mommy fat, but I'm fine with that. I'm certain it won't fall down when swimming! I am 5'5" with a 28" inseam. Bottom sits right at the top of my knees, and the top sits right at my belly button. I will be wearing a swim bottom underneath, as I agree with other reviews that without a bottom you'd end up with the seam up your rear.5Where Have These Been All My Life??These shorts are amazing! I am 5'5", 175 lbs and lets just say my thighs are a bit on the thunderous side....(I'm actually a step closer to being a mermaid..) Any way, I hate wearing traditional bikini bottoms and even swim shorts are unflattering on me. These however slide on nice and don't bunch up when I walk around. I ordered a size large since I typically wear a dress size 12. I was worried they would be too small but I definitely don't feel constricted in these. They feel like they were made for me. The fabric is a nice weight, and when it stretches you do not see through the fabric. I know that stretched out- transparent fabric can be an issue for girls like me with a bit more junk in their trunks. I have not worn them in the water yet, I bought these for our cruise. But I plan to order a second pair because these are awesome. I typically wear a tankini while swimming and it looks great with these. I also tried this on with a standard triangle top and it didn't look bad at all. If you are a thick bottomed girl who is self conscious about being in a bikini - I highly recommend these******Update 11/12/15*****I loved the black version so much, I also purchased the gray/blue version of these and while they fit exactly as expected, I'm disappointed in the quality of the fabric. I had asked questions before purchase, if the fabric, when stretched was see through (you know, like that one certain yoga brand whose exercise pants were more like tights than pants...) The resounding answer was no they are not see through which is the case with the black pair that I reviewed above. Well when I put on the gray blue pair you can CLEARLY see through the bottoms. I could see my underwear and my skin where there was no underwear. Considering these are bathing suit bottoms and I would not be wearing underwear while swimming, the fact that they are see through are unacceptable. I am returning the grey/blue pair but keeping the black ones. I also knocked my review down one star because bathing suit bottoms should not be see through when stretched. I still think these are great but ladies if you are more thick bottomed like me, steer clear of the lighter colored shorts.4Very comfortable and tolerate abuse.These are my go to shorts for water sports and cycling. Very comfortable, slimming and have taken a beating at splintery wooden docks and the like. I found myself using them so often that I bought a second pair months later and have to scrutinize the design to determine which is the most recent purchase as they show so little wear in spite of frequent and rough use. In terms of size - I wear a 16-18 and found the XL a comfortable fit without being too snug in waist.5Cute with the rash guard, waistband a tad bit too tightThis are adorable and will be perfect on the beach with the short sleeve rash guard from the same company. Only two complaints - there is no crotch lining (so there is a seam there and it might be uncomfortable if worn alone; I plan to wear an old swim suit bottom), and the waist band is just a tiny bit too tight. Since it fit well throughout I think ordering up would be a mistake and might result in baggy shorts, which I can only imagine would be bad news in the water. I think that the set will be good for running around with my kids on the beach.4It fit fine around the tummy and bumI read the reviews about how sizing is different for these. I'm a size 14/16 so I bought the XXXL. It fit fine around the tummy and bum, but was a little loose around my thighs. But, I'd rather it be a little loose there, than cutting into my legs in an unflattering way, the way most mid thigh pants can for someone my size. It is not really holding me in and slimming me down. It is sitting at belly button level and the waist band is not rolling down or cutting into my abdomen. It is not stretching so thin that people can see through the material. It does not have a panty liner at the crotch, it has a flattened seam.Have not tried them in the water yet.3Don't like running to the post office with long lines to ...I was hoping I got the right size. Don't like running to the post office with long lines to contend with to return it. I was pleasantly surprised when they did fit. I weigh 176lbs, 5' 1" and they fit comfortably, not tight at all. They come right above my knee. I was hoping mid-thigh but oh well. I can just tuck them under if I want. I ordered a size up. I usually wear a large but ordered X-Large in these. Nice feel. Looks exactly like my swimsuit material. Black Tankini top with white polka dots. I already have the bottom that fits likes panties but don't want to shave the bikini line. I also purchased loose shorts to wear as a cover up when walking around or I just might wear all three in the water. It might be a bit much but whatever makes me feel comfortable at the time. Glad I got them. I won't feel self conscious now about showing too much!! Happy Happy Joy Joy!5
