Gasket Didn't LastUsed to protect some electrical connections on a small boat transom. Originally worked fine, but the gasket turned gooey after 3 years, making the box unusable. It was never exposed to salt water, in fact rarely got wet. Was under storage cover for 20 months so saw no weather at all other than outdoor temp changes. Probably OK for a use were you can keep an eye on it but probably not for longer term storage. Will try a Pelican box instead. 2Seal not so goodItem works great until the gasket dries out. Had a few of these units in the past year. On everyone I owned, the gasket either decomposed or dried out, making the seal useless but still functional as a storage container. I would strongly suggest using a different material for the gasket seal. 3Works as intendedGot the box one day, took it out kayak fishing the next with all my valuables in it. Unfortunately, I got to test it out a bit sooner than I would have liked because I managed to flip my kayak over. This box was submerged for at least 5 minutes and everything was nice and dry upon inspection. The plastic quality is a bit ridged so I doubt it would stand up to any rough handling but, for the price, it exceeds my expectations. 5Dimensions are interiorDimensions appear to be exterior not interior. 5 1/2" x 4" x 3" is the correct interior dimension. Guess they sell more this way. Get you to buy the small one thinking it will work and then when you receive it, NOPE. Gotta get a large one. I'll try and remember to put a review on it with correct interior size. Box seems to be what I am looking for if it would have fit. 3Great little boxI use this as a travel vape case for my ejuice and hardware. Holds my usual (3) 30ml bottles, extra tanks, batteries, and misc vape supplies with no problems and room to spare. It's just the right size for a few day outing or 8 day cruise. Tsa has never given me any issues with this case on my carry on and it works great as advertised. 5SolidDecent solid box. Not the quality of Plano or other higher priced watertight boxes but, for the cheap price, definitely a solid buy. Holds my kayak 12V battery (fishfinder) perfect and secure with a little room to spare. Get the large box if you want to store a small fish finder battery. 5WatertightI keeps your small items dry when you're in the kayak cuz I have to say everything else gets wet 5Great, lightweight fishing box.This box can be used for all kinds of things, but I use it as a battery box for my fish finder battery in my kayak. Never submersed it yet, but the seal and clamps make a tight fit. I've used other Outdoor Products and their products seem pretty decently made and designed. 5Waterproof Safe-boxThese water tight boxes are a must have for any adventure. I like this product because it is bright orange in color and completely waterproof. I put things like my keys, wallet, etc. in these boxes and stop worrying if anything were to fall into the ice hole or take a plunge in a lake because they float! These boxes also have a tether strap so you can hook them onto a molle strap or clip them to a backpack. 5Good watertight boxI used this as an enclosure for data loggers installed in a couple very rainy tropical sites. They performed marvelously: 9 months in the field and bone-dry on the inside.If you abuse it, you can break the gray plastic snaps that hold it shut. (Can't blame the manufacturer for that...plastic is plastic and can break if abused.) But, it seems to stay pretty dry on the inside even with one snap broken! 5
