Thin fabric, could tell it was too loose just from holding them up.The fabric feels pretty thin and too stretchy. The size was too big for me; I have a 35" waist, and large was recommended but too big. If the fabric actually FELT like it would be compression quality, I'd just order the size down. I may still try that, but I don't think that will change the quality of the fabric. Probably going back to Under Armour or some other brand. 1Great compression shortsThese compression shorts are great. I am a VERY ACTIVE 40 year old man. Gym 7 days a week, outdoor activities weekly also with a 33" waist, typically I wear 34" in pants (easier to get with a 34" inseam). I read a few reviews and decided on the XL, Glad I went one size larger. So they are not overly tight. They do their job, and hold "stuff" where it's supposed to be held. They do not ride up, great for gym use, under my mesh shorts. Follow the merchant sizing, not the Amazon sizing, like other reviews suggested.Keep in mind these are NOT underwear, they are compression shorts. So when people complain about not having a front access/hole....NO CRAP PEOPLE! These are a modern day jock strap, not underwear.If you want a pee hole, then buy tight underwear. If you want compression shorts that do their job, don't ride up, and are affordable...then I suggest these.I bought a 3-pack of black, I plan to buy more so I can do laundry less often. 5Very poor qualityThese had little to no support or compression. The only good reviews of this product are from people who haven't had a better brand like under armour or Nike pro. I would not recommend as I can't even play basketball in these without my dick and balls bouncing all over the place. 1Amazing quality and a low price!Very similar to the Champions brand. Nike and Adidas are probably still the best, but these come super close. My husband runs and trains twice a day (he's a boxer), so I got tired of washing the ones he had. Nike and Adidas are a lot more expensive, so we didn't want to spend that much. These are great. He has no issues with them whatsoever. 5Material and Contstruction good - Fit not good for meMaterial and construction is good. Where I have a problem is fit. I am 5'10" 168 lbs, 31" waist and bought mediums. They fit fine in the legs and waist band, what I don't like is they don't support well in the crotch. (I have to rearrange my junk a few times every game - a little embarrassing). It was the same issue for all three pair in the package. I don't have this problem with the other base layer compression brands I use (Tesla, BCG). I wear these under a pair of Compression Z compression shorts then my soccer shorts over that. Since going to the double layer of compression shorts I have eliminated the hamstring and groin injuries I use to get. I play competitively several days a week. 3FIts great right out of the packagingI was hesitant to buy any type of underwear off the internet. I was worried I would get something that was just crap.Boy, was I ever shocked. I couldn't be more pleased at the moment.I got these over the weeakend.Slid them on and they fit perfectly. They weren't too tight, and they didn't have a 3" waistband like so many other manufacturers seem to think people want.So far they've been great.I worked out in my first pair yesterday and they were ideal.I have on my second pair and will be going to the gym again later.I have not washed them as of yet.I hope they will not shrink or anything.If they wash good, then I will be buying more. 5Different colors fit different?I got a 3 pack in 3 different colors but the 3 colors all fit different... Seems crazy but the red with black stiching fits wonderful and I really enjoy them. The black with red stiching and gray both fit like the waist band is sitting lower on my body so that while I am at the gym I am constantly stretching them back up so they cover my butt. Very weird but if they all fit like the one red pair that came in the pack I'd her very stoked on these 2Ehh, not a fan. Poor compression, runs large, not as good as Under Armour. You get what you pay for!These aren t that great. I m comparing to Under Armour compression shorts. Size small UA shorts compress nicely for my size, perfect fit.Size small of these is too large. The tag says European M US S but this fits like a US medium. compression shorts are supposed to be tight. these fit like boxer briefs. 0 compression whatsoever. 2Really loose CompressionShorts seem to be well made BUT when I hear compression I expect a more snug but comfortable fit. The size indicator suggested size Large but I think Medium would of been more to my liking. Mail order can lead you in the wrong direction at times. The same holds true with the compression shirts -- I think I've learned my lesson: talk to a human/buy in person. 2My husband says: Buy More of These!As to fit: Follow the Neleus recommendation, NOT the Amazon sizing, and you'll be happy. A size larger than your usual size should be about right. That said, I bought my husband the 2X in these, even though he'd really probably wear a large in typical clothing sizing. He has this "thing" about too tight clothing... And he has "cantaloupe" buns... really cute round ones! ;) So, seeking to avoid the proverbial crack exposure unfortunately, and variously, nicknamed, the larger size seemed a good idea -- and he's VERY happy with these! Me too - they look GREAT on him! It's almost a shame these are underwear...His comments regarding these are that the fit is excellent; they have room where it's needed, not where it's not. The fabric is fantastic: lightweight, cool, NO sagging! The seaming works "seamlessly" - he said it, not me - for fit and support. The flat seams are strong and reliable while being veritably undetectable to the wearer - "a pretty good trick" per my husband. He likes them so much he's asked for more, which to my mind is the ultimate compliment for a product.These are a great product for the price. They've been in intensive use now for about 3 months, with lots of laundering, and they have held up beautifully. They still look new, and they have not lost their compression at all. The spandex is still as fresh as it was brand new, too. These are 1/3 the price of the compression shorts I bought previously, so I'm ecstatically happy to get great performance AND durability at a really good price. I'd give these ten stars if I could! 5
