Sizing not accurate, and these aren't really adjustable through the 6" it claimsThis is a great Bimini top assembly, but not perfect. I have a 24' bowrunner, and there are side "windshields" that run down the gunwale from center of the boat all the way to the back. Therefore, the front mounts must be affixed to the aluminum frame of the glass instead of the fiberglass of the boat (somewhat common). The measurement across beam is exactly 78" (on center) mounted on the top of the glass frame, or 76" if mounted inside of the glass. So, I ordered the 73-78" size. Unfortunately, the center supports that go through the canvas are NOT expandable - the aluminum is expected to bend wide at the base if needed. Unfortunately, aluminum poles don't bend, especially 5-6 inches that these claim. This came in at exactly 73" at the base, and the joints give about another inch or so AT THE MOST. I was not able to bend this out to the absolute minimum of 76" for installation, so I was forced to buy the larger size.If you have wide gunwales on which to mount the bases, then this will probably work for you. But, if you require exact measurements for the gunwale mounts because of a narrow mounting space, then stick with another brand that is fully adjustable instead of MSC/Summate's version. 3Amazing deal! To top it off, it comes with a 2yr warranty on materials and 5yr warranty on frame. It is easy to install and stable. Perfect height and size for my 19' Stingray bowrider. Good shade and grey color helps cool us down from Florida heat. I have looked everywhere and this is 50% cheaper than other brands out there! 5Good Bimini top for the priceThe Instructions could use some help, but since it really has a few parts and a few options it's easy to guess. The unit assembly took about an hour. The units fits exactly to the size, I made sure my measurements were correct specially the width of the haul matched the max size of the unit. 5Worth every pennyEasy to install and looks great! It's now July 11th, about one month of use. It's so badly faded already that the outside, facing the sun is gray and the inside is the original blue. I expect it to fade in time but less than a month??? In cloudy, rainy Ohio?I would not have purchased this top had I known how cheap the fabric is. Very Very disappointed. The fit was great and it was easy to install but that cheap fabric kills any value this thing has. 1The boot cover is so spacious and easy to load and zipAbsolutely met and exceeded my expectation. Set it right up. Assembled to the boat in 30 min.. Family was full of compliments and gratitude for the protection it gave. Folds up and down in a jiffy. The support poles in back were just right. The boot cover is so spacious and easy to load and zip. Wish I could say that for the boot on my other boat ! I highly recommend this Bimini and would absolutely buy it again. 5Pre-planning will make up for the lack of instructionsThe price, quality and shipping were great. I installed the top on my Alumnicraft Trophy 170 fishing boat to provide shade. I have used it both fully up, tethered back against using the rear support while the top was covered and fully laying down (unscrewing the bottom bracket from the rear support) at 30 mph.The instructions lack quite a bit but a look at posted photos and a good measuring tape will help. It comes with all the hardware and screws but you will need a good drill/drill bit. I used painters tape to mark it out. I mounted the front strap bracket by the front on the windshield. I measured 4 feet up from the rear and mounted the rear support bracket and three feet forward of that was the main (middle bracket).Pros...CostQualityCons...InstructionsSupports block easy side access to enter/exit the boat. I just go through the bow. You can still fish without a problem. 5Bob's your uncle! A great bimini top at a reasonable price . . .My first bimini top ever. Installation easy. Came with all the hardware parts. Very good quality parts (1-inch diameter frame poles) and fabric top. (The only improvement I can think of is Sunbrella fabric, but that would double the price of the bimini.) Have a helper hold the bimini in place during installation.Tips: 1) Assemble the bimini off the boat first. Next position the center roof support over the seat where you want the most shade; adjust as needed while sitting in the boat, then attach the main deck hinges to the gunnels. 2) To achieve the full height of the bimini top, position the rear support poles in a vertical position; mark and attach their deck hinges to the gunnels. 3) Attach strap anchors to gunnels (see photo). Apply even tension to each strap so that front and back of bimini are close to same height. 4) The bimini frame should approximate the shape of an 'M' once installed.That's it! Bob's your uncle! Trust me, I found that out the hard way.I saw this when it was 130-140, and I hmmmmd and huhd, because my boats beam width was two inches off of their smallest measurement, so I decided, oh, I'll pass. After a rather bad sunburn, I knew, it was time.Coincidentally, the price had gone down, and there was a coupon for this product, so I paid well below what I was prepared to do so.Now, cheap price usually equates to cheap product. Nope nope nope. Not here. It arrived a few days later, and all I can say is literally: WOW!Installation was a breeze, and since I'm running a glass boat, I opted out of using the screws it came with for the mounting base, and instead used stainless steel bolts, washers, and locknuts.Always use a magnet on any hardware (screws and washers and nuts) and if it sticks, do not install it on your boat. It will rust.I am absolutely thrilled with the quality and look of this top on my boat. I will definitely be purchasing another from this company for my other boat when I restore it. 5
