Customer Reviews

Good for carpentry tooI work in construction doing finish carpentry, lots kneeling. Habr worn these all day the last two days. They are great. Comfortable and a very good cusion. No trouble at all kneeling on a very hard terrazzo all day today. They are smaller (hight) then I expected and I have found it works to wear them just below my knee.5Great kneepad that you don't have to fiddle with the whole game!I originally posted this review on my blog, but after buying my second pair of these, I thought it was about time that I review them on here! I've been playing volleyball for 20 years - including Division I college volleyball. I still play at a competitive level, and thought I would share some detailed info on these knee pads.I honestly believe that you should consider the position you're playing when you select your knee pads, though, at the end of the day, you will probably arrive at the same decision regardless the position you're playing. For me, I tend to roll my the excess fabric on the knee pads down a fold so that they are not shifting when I'm playing. I've had too many issues in the past where I've had to dive multiple times in a rally, and the knee pad gifts shifted, and on the last dive, I get a massive bruise somewhere. Whether I'm playing libero or setting, I dive a lot. The packaging suggests that you "select VOLLEYBALL KNEEPADS suited for your body's size and athletic objective," so I guess I'm on to something. ;-)Some people like to wear knee pads that have a multitude of pads covering all sides of the knee. My main focus is on the sides, but I also use the top/middle quite a bit. I don't like to have too much going on because I have to sprint all over the court, so too much padding slows me down, causing me to have to use the knee pads even more.Comfort: If I have to play back-to-back games, I don't feel like ripping them off in the middle of the game. They become like a second skin. The packaging states that, "wearing VOLLEYBALL KNEEPADS too tight can slow blood circulation in that location of the body," so take note, people. You might like your spandex or shirt super tight, but that is a bad idea when it comes to knee pads.Design: The design is great. They had to have consulted with actual volleyball players before producing this one, because it's practical, and seems that everything that normally drives me crazy about knee pads is absent in these.Support: They have supported me through quite a few rough tournaments (rough = I am running all over the court like a crazy person, and we still don't win), but again, some people might prefer even more padding, and a longer sleeve on the knee pad. If you don't need that, then it gives great support.Colors: They come in traditional white or black, but they also come in black with highlighter yellow trim on the top and bottom, lime green with pink trim, baby blue with yellow trim, and pink with baby blue trim. While I love bright colors, I'm not a fan of bright-colored knee pads, but that's just me. I like everything to coordinate, so I guess I'm kind of preppy when it comes to my volleyball attire?Pros: They don't roll as much as some other knee pads, so they stay in place during long matches. They also don't seem to get stinky like some other brands. (Ever been in a volleyball huddle after the game, when everyone is pulling their knee pads down? P.U.) I threw them in the washer and let them air dry, and they kept their shape and dried pretty quickly. Most importantly, they get the job done. When I dive on them, it doesn't hurt!Cons: It's not a con for me, but some people might not like how short they are. The entire knee pad is only 6 inches. I had a difficult time thinking of anything bad to say about these knee pads. They are awesome!TL;DR: These knee pads are awesome, if you like a shorter design and don't need massive pads. For the quality, they're reasonably priced, and come in different colors. 5Protects, comfortable and durableBest I've used. Outer shell strap on style pads would slide down my legs and would bunch behind the knees, and ones going directly on my leg the padding would go flat. These hold up really well and pad well. I've even put them through the wash and the pad's still good. They do get a slight indentation on the lower middle pad but my knees still feel protected, and this is after excessive work use. I've only had to buy new ones to replace them when I lost a couple pairs- not because of wear.LPT At the end of a work day the inside will have sweat, I usually just spray it with alcohol to sanitize it until I have laundry day. Doesn't ever feel dirty. If you are break out prone sanitizing them should suffice. 5Very comfortable and light weightThese knee pads appeared to be too small. However, they are very comfortable and really hug my legs nicely. My old Asics knee pads would sometimes not slide well on the gym floor. Hence, they would end up down my leg and not on my knee. These knee pads stay put and slide well without destroying the fabric. I had a pair of Nike pads that were evidently made from a different type of foam. The first time I went down to my knees, the foam went flat and became paper-thin and the outer fabric started to almost melt from the friction. So far these pads are holding up really well. 5this is our perfect kneepadwe have always purchased these ever since our daughter took up volleyball in earnest. after tossing out the huge white bulbous ones (yeah, you parents who are new to the sport probably got those too, like us, thinking it was full-on knee protection), she's stuck on these and never strayed. they last forever too, and the only reason we needed to buy these was because her legs, victim to her ice cream binges, need the circulation that a size up affords.5They take a beatingI'm a guy and I wear these as I'm often diving on the court. These are fantastic knee pads and they fit really well, rarely have to adjust them during play, I'm 5'10" relatively muscular legs. I really appreciate it them when I'm just warming up and end up putting a knee down and I notice they are not there, 5 minutes later I'm sprawled out on the floor and I don't even feel the impact on my knees. I also have not gotten any melting from the friction of sliding on the court as some other pairs have.I read some of the negative reviews before buying and they are mostly from people that use them for carpentry... which I still think they would be great worn under the pants, as I do a little myself. I would like to point out that they say "Volleyball Kneepad" and for that purpose you will be hardpressed to find better ones for the price. 5Go with the larger size if you measure between sizesI bought these for my almost 12-year-old daughter to replace her child-sized volleyball kneepads. She is, after all, as tall as I am already. She is by no means small, but she is average sized for her height and we had to order the large kneepads (her 1" above the knee measurement was exactly 15.5"). They fit perfectly without slipping and provide the same protection as her previously used kneepads with a smaller profile.4RUNS SMALL!!I like the fact that the Mizuno LR6 Volleyball Kneepad (set of two) is less bulky than the older Nike ones I have had for years. They appeared to be well made with just the right amount of padding in the right places. My measurements fell well within the range given on the size chart but they were way too tight. I have played volleyball for 25 years and I know they need to be tight enough to stay in place but these were so tight that they left deep groove marks in my legs after wearing for a short period of time. I am 126 lbs, 5'4" and female with a somewhat athletic medium build. I will have to size up to a large and hope they fit better. Hope this helps someone else from wasting time getting the wrong size. 3Runs small but works wellThese kneepads provided good support and protection when diving and sliding on the volleyball court. I just wish they were bigger. I'm a dress size 18-20, weigh about 215lb,and I am 5'6", and these are very tight. I don't want to return them, because I do like the protection and the sleek design. This is why I'm giving these 4/5. If Mizuho made an XL that'd be perfect! 4This is the best knee pads we have usedThis is the best knee pads we have used! So much better than the Nike and addidas one. It gives more protection not one the front but also on the sides; and the cushion is so thick and sturdy, my daughter plays club and she used to wear the Nike ones but only last for a month then always has holes in the front. But this one she has been worn it for 2 months now and still as good as new-- no holes, no broken stitchs or anything. Will stick with this brand now. 5ONLY ONE!THIS ONLY HAS ONE KNEEPAD!! The description states there are two, but that is untrue. I am unable to contact the seller. It s useless, I guess my daughter will choose which knee she likes best. 1Does it's job, uncomfortably small. They perform their function, however, one thing to note is that they are very small. I'm not big by any means, 5ft 10 in (178cm), 155lbs (70kg), and this just and ONLY covers your knees. It feels like it could come off at anytime, but then they don't; they just seem uncomfortably small. Since they do their job i'll give it a 4 star.4well worth the pricebought em for my 13yr old who plays volleyball. she had an old pair from Ross that were way less expensive and thicker pads but they kept slipping off which resulted in her hurting her knee. then got my measuring tape out and measured an inch above her knee to find her correct size. went over a lot of reviews of different knee pads. glad others helped by leaving their feedback so i recommending this to anyone looking for this type of product. 5it is the recommended brand of volleyball apparelMy daughter has been wearing Nike kneepads for 3 years now since it is the only brand I am familiar of. I only noticed Mizuno from the volleyball club player wearing them. Apparently, it is the recommended brand of volleyball apparel. This is the first time I have bought anything of this brand. My 14-year old daughter is 5 7 in height, 118 lbs in weight and has a knee circumference of 13 . I bought the medium size of this knee-pad and it fit perfectly. It has ample padding (but bulkier than the Nike she had), which is really good. My daughter is not hesitant to dive when the situation calls for it. I had to remove/cut the white plastic tag though. It irritates her skin. I wish that, they will manufacture something that is tag-free. Other than that, my daughter is happy with this knee-pad.Now, I have to buy Mizuno shorts and shoes to compliment the knee-pads. 5
