    Lee Men's Dungarees are Wonderful Shorts!My husband loves the Lee Dungaree Shorts. I have purchased him several pairs in all colors and they are always a hit. We live in So. California where it's virtually always warm. He literally lives in shorts 365 days per year so he needs many pairs and these are great. They fit true to size (my husband wears a size 34). They wash well and are very comfortable. There are also nice pockets in all the right places for his wallet, keys and phone. The price is great and I'm so happy to find them on Amazon. I purchase several pairs of cargo shorts, and these are my favorite. They're perhaps just a touch on the large side, but I could probably wear them without the belt without dropping a size after having washed them. (I think they shrunk just a touch in the wash.)The belt is solid, and holds well. It's a separate piece, which is important for washing.The rear pockets use a single button, which does lead to a risk of the fabric curling up on the sides and the button catching on things, but I think it looks nice, and the fabric is heavy enough that it doesn't curl too much.The front lower pockets use a pair of buttons for the main pockets. On the left, there are a pair of open outer pockets that aren't particularly useful for me, but they're typical of this style. On the right, there's a smaller velcro pocket on the outside of the main buttoned pocket, so if you prefer velcro for easy access, you have that option as well. The velcro pocket is the right size for a pack of travel tissues or a cell phone turned sideways.My favorite feature is the cell phone pocket. Hidden behind the right lower pocket is a drop-in pocket just the right size for a modern cell phone. I was afraid it would fall out when sitting down, but I've found it works really well.Overall these are great shorts.5Not a heavy short. Don't change a thing LEE!5Way big in size, legs, butt & waist...I get all husbands wardrobe from Amazon & this first pair of shorts I've ever ordered that was huge in size. Not sure how happen but we looked at size & it was 40 in waist. Always ordered 38's and all fit husband perfect. How we ended up with these big shorts we dont know. Husband didn't try on as soon as we got. We both purchased a new summer wardrobe. Which is lots of new shorts, shirts, tanks & blouses. Amazon I use alot for us & rarely we ever now come across not something that don't fit. Hung up & husband only picks shorts a couple times a week. Works long hours & 6 days a week. Time he decides to put these on, he asks me, what in world did I get. Really huge in size. More like a 44 because I say what about belt & use for home comfy. I came & looked at them. No way only word Huge! So I told him to late to return & the cost in shipping. Plus chances are not get size correct in this brand. So we donated to our charity4sized too small, and re-order is a nightmarethe product appears to be well made, butThe 29 waist is way to small for our son, who currently wears several other 29 waisted shorts from other brands.So we returned the pair, negotiated the maze of finding the correct page, pushing the correct links, typing what happened, printing out a label and driving to UPS, and ordering the next size up. The style and color description on the reorder page next to "buy now" showed the same color pants (and the image reproduced here shows the correct pair), but what we jjust got was a dark dark olive colored pair.And the price charged for the replacment was about $6.00 more than the original pair (for the extra inch of material?) which was automatically deducted from our card. Sitting here wondering what to do this time around. Try to return again and explain what happened? Or just keep themand type this review, and hope somebody notices.2They fit great. The waist doesn't sit too high or low ...Needed a new pair of basic shorts for the summer and decided to give these a shot in the gray color. They fit great. The waist doesn't sit too high or low and the inseam length hits me at the knee (I'm not a fan of the short-shorts trend). The twill material is reasonably weighty without being hard, stiff, or crinkly. The pockets are all of good size. The belt is a little underwhelming, it's a nylon strap with some D-rings, but it does work. Of course, you can change the included belt out for something else. Overall very happy with these and will definitely consider another pair.** UPDATE **After a summer of heavy wear I'm docking these a star. They still fit great and are very comfortable, but the color on top of the thighs has faded in a way that makes areas of the shorts appear almost pinkish in certain lighting. I suspect other colors won't have this issue, but I'm starting to think this gray pair may be heading to the charity bin soon.4Strange sizing for a Lee product, otherwise a good value.Lee products usually do not use vanity sizing and thus many people mistakenly assume they fit too small in the waist. When these arrived, they seemed to be an inch too big in the waist measurement, which is strange for a Lee product. However, one warm-water wash and tumble dry, the waist is okay. I believe over time with more washes these will tighten up even a bit more.After wearing these a few times, i notice that although the appearance of these are not exacty what I expected, the relaxed fit certainly is comfortable wih its looseness around the butt and thighs area--I say this as someone without a large butt, but with relatively muscular thighs.Reading other reviews, I see that a lot of purchasers decide not to use the included belt. I don't use the belt anymore, either.But the big issue is: Supposedly, these are LOOSE FIT shorts, which means loose in the legs but not the butt. Unfortunately, these are really RELAXED FIT which means HUGE in the butt. I am disappointed these turned out to be relaxed fit shorts instead of loose fit ones.Otherwise these are up to Lee's usual high quality. The stitching and details show good workmanship. The material is reasonably thick for Summer wear.The cargo pockets on these are well thought out. The cell phone pocket is a nice touch but I am used to carrying my phone on the left side rather than the right side where this one is placed. Too bad there's no option to get these shorts with the cell phone pocket on the left side. Despite that the dedicated pocket is an improvement over carrying a phone loose in a hip pocket.Due to the relaxed fit, I would mainly recommend these more for someone whose butt and thighs are very muscular or obese.4The inseam is about right and the fit was very good. I am retired and some things like irons, shovels rakes and such don't fit may hands anymore. Strange, my TV chair seems to fit fine.5Comfortable, good-fitting cargo shortsI really like these shorts. They are comfortable and have lots of useful pockets. I especially like the mobile phone pocket. They fit well, and the fabric is a good weight. Some reviewers have complained about the web belt, but I've been using it, and it works pretty well. The end curls up, but I just tuck it under the belt and it's fine. Overall, a good pair of cargo shorts, and based on my experience I'd buy more of them.5Very comfortable and good fit....but...I really love these shorts for their comfort and fit. I would give it 5 stars except for one big flaw in them. After about a year or so (and this has occurred twice already with 2 different pairs of shorts), a split begins to appear under the crotch area between the legs.Because of where the split is, it's not visible when wearing so it's not embarrassing to continue wearing. But the split gets wider and wider until it's so big, then it's no longer wearable and time to replace. But for the low price, I think it's still worth it even if I have to replace them every 12-16 months. (I continue wearing them until the split gets too big.)If it weren't for this flaw, i'd happily give it 5 stars because otherwise, these are really comfortable shorts that I can wear year round. (I live in FL.)4
