Customer Reviews

New Used Jeans for Whomever Finds that Appealing.I love these cut of jeans. I've worn them almost exclusively for the better part of a decade because nothing else seems to fit, fellas with thighs know what I'm talking about. *wink*But g-dangit Lee! Stop making jeans that look like someone took a stupid belt sander to parts of them, a dremel to others, and the randomly rubbed bleach on other parts. If I wanted to look like I got my clothes out of a dumpster that's a very easy and much cheaper option than buying yours.*ahem* That aside. These don't hold up for more than a year. Probably because someone ruined them at the factory, but the crotch and undercarriage always wears through and the fabric attached to the seam tears away leaving the seams perfectly intact but no longer attached to anything. Oh and holes open up because again, dremel, beltsander, poor judgement in the corporate world. If you're ok with the things I've been whinging about these are probably a great option. I--however--am probably going to start looking elsewhere. I like my jeans to have a consistent wash from the factory, no fraying fabric, no premade-holes-in-the-making, and to last longer than a year.I feel as if I'm breaking up with a friend. ;_;2These pants have declined in qualty.I've been purchasing Lee jeans since High School. I used to always wear the dungarees, and loved how they lasted.Unfortunately this line of Lee Jeans is really poorly built. I ordered 4 pairs about 9 months ago. 3 of the 4 pairs have now split directly up the seam in the rear end. Twice this has happened to me while I was working. In 20 years of wearing Lee Jeans I've never had this happen, now it's happened 3 times in a handful of months. This really is pretty disappointing, Lee used to make a quality pair of jeans.1ie=UTF8&channel=glance-detail&asin=B00V6OXQKA The jeans are great they fit and are comfy even after washing them ...https://www.amazon.com/review/create-review/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_wr_but_top?ie=UTF8&channel=glance-detail&asin=B00V6OXQKAThe jeans are great they fit and are comfy even after washing them several times. They are so nice when wearing boots. The one issue I have and I hopeless but 99% of you do not CCW. I do everyday in the small of my back and the holster just makes its own hole. Yes I can carry on the side and front but I'm use to the backside and trained myself on the backside. I will order this jeans again because I like them and maybe have someone mode them for more protection. Over all good jeans.4Inconsistent sizingLove the quality of these jeans. The only issue I've had was inconsistent sizing.Bought 32x30 a while ago and they fit perfectly. Decided to reorder the same size and the new pair was awfully small, length was 3 inches shorter and waist at about 2 inches smaller than the old pair (granted, the old pair did stretch a bit during wear, but the difference between two pairs was still huge). In the end, had to go 33x32 to get the same size as the old pair.4Just Moderately-RelaxedNo two brands or styles of jeans seem to fit quite the same. Being well past middle age, I've gained the average amount of weight that Americans gain over the years and have some problems finding a pair of jeans that fits well in the waist, has the right center depth and the right leg length, all three. I bought a pair of Arizona "relaxed fit" jeans a few years ago that was rated 2 inches smaller in the leg and 2 inches smaller around the waist; both the Lee and the Arizona seem about the same on the legs but the Lee is a little too large in the waist. I plan to try another pair of the Lee relaxed-fit etc. rated 2 inches smaller in the waist, and that may do the trick. Make sure never to compare "relaxed fit" with "regular fit" jeans! These came moderately pre-faded, as if I'd had them maybe a year, with some fading of the blue particularly on the front thigh down to just below the knee, which I think anyone can see in the photo for the product.4Poor quality, even for cheap jeans!Tears in fabric are appearing above knee on the thigh area and stitching where rear pockets are is ripped after only a month of wear, which is two or three times per week. And they've only been washed about 2 to 3 times so far. Really poor quality, even for cheap jeans. I have another pair purchased from store that lasted for over a year, no signs of wear, so maybe they are passing off factory defects as new merchandise here, I don't know. Very displeased!!!1Inconsistent SizingI can think of at least 437 things I would rather do than clothes shopping, and we live in a world where men are apparently wearing women's pants, so I was thrilled to see I could order the exact size and style of pants that I like right from Amazon. First pair I ordered fit perfect, and I didn't feel like I needed to go to starbucks or talk about my feelings after looking in the mirror. Ordered a second pair of the exact same thing and they was tighter than a tick in a dog's ear. My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined. I see now that I will be entering into a cycle of purchase and return until I can get hold of 5 pairs of these that fit appropriately, but if that's what I gotta do to find pants that don't make Conway Twitty want to write a song about me then so be it.3Great jeans wish they didn t have defects! This is the 3rd pair of these jeans (same size & Santiago color) I ve received with these torn-fabric defects (twice from Amazon, once from Kohl s) in the past 7 months. I ve included pictures showing the defects size, how they expand when pushed from the inside, and how they look on the inside. I don t know if these were intentionally made or not, but I m perfectly capable of ripping my own jeans & have no desire for them to rip vertically along the thigh. This has been incredibly frustrating since I ve been wearing Lee relaxed fit bootcut jeans for more than 15 years & haven t found a good replacement. Before returning these, I bought from another Lee relaxed-fit listing (Premium Select Straight Leg instead of Modern Series Bootcut) to compare & I ll include my findings here for anyone who is curious about the difference. I ve also compared both with a freshly washed pair of old Lee Dungarees.Fit: All three jeans fit similarly (all 3 being the same size & relaxed fit), but the Modern Series is a bit more flexible. The Modern Series also seems to leave more room below the butt, but that could be because of the material or the yoke (discussed below). The description for Premium Select says they re more relaxed than their other relaxed fit, but I didn t notice that. It may be more in the thighs than the butt and less noticeable because my test cases of high-kicking and squatting were less thigh-focused. With a thick wallet and iPhone 8 in the front pockets, the Modern Series still seemed more relaxed in the thighs (perhaps because of spandex), but the Premium Select does seem more relaxed in this test case than the Dungarees.Material: Premium Select (Round Midnight color) is 100% cotton while Modern Series (Santiago color) is 1% spandex. The Premium Select is definitely stiffer but not necessarily restricting. My current everyday jeans (Signature by Levi Strauss) are 1% spandex, and they get so terribly loose with wear that I wonder if the spandex is breaking down. I don t know whether the Modern Series would loosen similarly. The Dungarees tag is impossible to read now, though I m reasonably sure they don t have spandex. Some Premium Select colors contain spandex, though, so this isn t a major difference between these two styles. The thickness of the fabric between the Modern Series & Premium Select was similar to the touch, with the PS seeming slightly thicker not sure if that was an illusion from the stiffness of the cotton, though.Yoke: The line of stitching between the waistband and the pockets demarcates the bottom of a piece of fabric called the yoke, and since I noticed this was different among the 3 pairs, I compared & researched this. The Premium Select has a V yoke, generally the most common & flattering type for all bodies, while the Modern Series and Dungarees have a wide yoke. Wide yokes create the falling down pants look, since the back pockets sit lower, and is described as flattering on men specifically. This may be why the the Modern Series seems roomier at the butt than the Premium Select. The Premium Select is visibly less baggy there as well.Pockets: The front pockets of the Premium Select feel smaller/stiffer than the Modern Series. It may be a function of the fabric looseness, but the Modern Series pocket seems cut a bit lower since more of the coin pocket is visible. The rivets on the Premium Select are ring-style rivets, which I personally prefer to the nipple-style rivets on the Modern Series because they don t scrape my phone when I put it in my pocket. The corner stitches of the back pockets on the Modern Series & Dungarees are X-shaped, while the Premium Select seems to just be one horizontal stitch. I don t know which type is more durable, though since some have reported tears in the fabric at the corner of Modern Series back pockets, it may not be a major factor. Conclusion: Overall, the Premium Select seems most similar to the old Dungarees, except for the narrower yoke, so I ll be sticking with those and hope they loosen a bit as I break them in. While I wouldn t mind a wider yoke (and the roomier feel), the defects in the Modern Series are a dealbreaker for me. The Modern Series is the only one I ve seen available in bootcut so far, however. There s another Lee Relaxed Fit Straight Leg Jean listing that s not Premium Select that I haven t tried, and it seems to have the same type of yoke as PS, so Modern Series may be the only listing available with the wide yoke. If you want bootcut or the wide yoke look/feel, you ll have to risk the defects with Modern Series.3Mystery cuts, Solved!Love the fit and feel of these jeans, I've reordered several times after wearing a pair out. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the lack of description stating that these are supposed to be pre distressed. Returned one pair thinking it had a defect due to three vertical cuts on the legs. After quickly being sent a replacement, I got the second pair same cuts. So I called the customer service number for Lee to inquire as to if it was a defect, only to find out the cuts were intended. Great experience talking to customer service also with no wait time, surprisingly. Please add details about the particular styles so customers know more about what to expect and keep up the great service.4Love emI first discovered these jeans at Sears a few years back and quickly decided I was a "Lee Jeans guy" with my first pair. I immediately liked them better than any of my Levi's, Carhartts, Urban Pipeline or other pants. I also discovered that you can pull off the dress jeans look with the darker colors, black shoes and a sports coat. They've gone and added a bit of stretch/give to the denim which is okay I guess, but I was comfortable with them prior to that change in fabric. Still my favorite all around pants and cut. Love em.5
