Very nice belt for the price pointI don't buy regular belts with holes anymore. These ratchet based belts are great and the way to go. JINIU ones seems pretty well built and way cheaper than the main Mission brand belts. Reading some of the other reviews, I know some people have said the belts length is too short. I've purchased several of these kinds of belts over the years and as a quick tip for first time buyers..... measure your waist, look at the belt chart, then order the next size higher. Reason why is because you will trim/cut it down to the size you really want anyway before putting the buckle on the end of the belt. Better to get it longer then just cut it in smaller increments until you achieve your desired length.5Good belt, buckle is more reflective than shown in pictures.I love ratchet belts, but this one has all the same problems that other belts of this type has... the waistband. I've only had it for a couple months and the waistband is already starting to warp. The design of the buckle is cool, but it's a little more reflective than how it's shown in the product pictures... Which is a little disappointing and could be a deal breaker for some people. I still like it though, and I wear it all the time. I can say that it is good quality and has worked very well over the last year. Recently, in the last month, the belt material has developed a tear in the middle of its length, strangely its not anywhere near where the mechanical latch grips the belt. It started small and then spread across the width of the belt. Eventually the belt will actually break, I'm sure. I'm not sure if its a defect, or if I damaged the belt at work somehow. Either way, Jiniu's customer service treated me very well when I contacted them, and... .They replaced the belt (not the buckle) with no questions asked. I am very satisfied with the belt and with Jiniu standing behind their product. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a good ratcheting belt for a great price.4Great belt for a great price.I had surgery on my wrist and arm. As I was going to be without use of my hand for a few months, I had to make adjustments to everyday things. One of those things was putting on a belt. I found ratcheting belts by accident and purchased one. I have to say, these belts are great.First, I was able to get it on with one hand. Solved that problem. Second benefit, as I was losing weight, this belt allowed me to adjust the size as I slimmed down by simply cutting down the size as needed. Third, and most important, is that, during the day, as you eat, you may need to adjust the belt because your belly is full. This belt allows you to make slight adjustments vs. a standard belt where you have to go up/down a hole in the belt which makes it too loose/tight leaving you either uncomfortable or constantly pulling up your pants as you move. Neither one is fun.The company also offers a LOT of styles in their buckles. I picked up a few, but this one is my favorite. It is beautifully designed and has gotten a number of compliments from coworkers. All around a great product.5Great, but the buckle takes some getting used to...This would be a five star review, if if weren't for the buckle. Simply put, the buckle is a bit difficult to work with. When putting the belt on, you must feed the end of the belt through the buckle and a narrow slot. It takes some getting used to. When removing or loosening the the belt, there's a small lever at the bottom of the buckle that you have to flip to disconnect the ratchet; it's best to push the belt in from both sides of the buckle to release tension on the rachet before flipping the lever - otherwise you'll have a very hard time. Aside from the buckle, love the belt's style and adjustability.19-Nov-2018 Update - I can no longer recommend this belt. The leather is not one solid strap - it is two thin straps sewn together, which a thin hollow area between the straps. Because each leather strap is thin, the teeth that hold the buckle to the end of the belt have torn through the leather and the buckle has become detached. Trimmed the end of the belt and reattached the buckle, but the problem recurred - twice. Reducing review down to two stars.2Horrible "Feature"So the belt function of clicking into place works fine. I haven't had any issues with that part. The part that causes me to give this a bad review is way the buckle attaches to the back of the belt. It is this little flip open bracket with teeth. I am sure it is designed to be easily removed to allow you to change the length. But you do this very rarely. The belt isn't reversible so that isn't really the reason. But this bracket will pop open when you are not wearing it causing the buckle to fall off. You have to find it and reattach it. However this can damage the back of the belt causing you to need to cut it again slightly shortening it every few times this falls off. If they just made screws like 98% of belts have on the back this would be great. But a belt that he buckle randomly falls off isn't really an acceptable design.1Great belt except belt buckle teeth.I love the belt and have gotten 2 of them. However, the way the belt attaches to the buckle is not ideal. They are teeth that bite into the belt and it can flip open or tear the belt up. You can cut an inch or so off and re-seat it, but it s happened a couple dozen times so I ve had to cut it shorter and shorter. If there was a Kevlar core, if the teeth locked into place or some other design, it d be perfect but I m about to either have to buy a third (and I don t need the buckle, just the belt) or will have to find an alternative. The overall design is a awesome and quick to adjust but it ll just tear up where it attaches to the buckle and have to trim and put it back together. Also not a huge confidence booster :) I do wear a tool belt over it (not held by the belt) so that may put additional strain on it but it ll sometimes just pop out for no reason. I d love if I could just get a replacement belt portion. If that part of the design was remedied, I d bump it up to 5 stars easily.2Great alternative to the mission belt premium brandGreat alternative to the mission belt premium brand, at half the price.http://amzn.to/2nARJDaAs can be seen in the pictures the Jiniu buckle mechanism is almost identical to the Mission Belt buckle. The look, feel, heft and function are almost indistinguishable. I do not feel like I am wearing a cheaper product with the Jiniu, rather the buckle is quite handsome. I thought that I would replace the buckle initially with the Mission Belt buckle, but decided I liked the Jiniu buckle too much.Comparing to my Mission Belt, the buckle and belt are very similar. The ratcheting is compatible between the two, I can put a Mission Belt Buckle on the Jiniu Belt or a Jiniu Buckle on the Mission Belt. So far the leather has held up similar to the Mission Belt leather. However, the wear is difficult to tell, as the Mission Belt held up very well for a long time then rapidly disintegrated, as can be seen in the pictures. I have not had the Jiniu for the same period of time.I also purchased a seemingly comparable Vinicio belt at the same time as the Jiniu:http://amzn.to/2n4DI4BThe Jiniu is far superior in the quality, compared to the Vinicio, as can be seen in the pictures. For almost the same price, the Jiniu is a much nicer belt.The Jiniu belt arrived in a very nice box, I believe there was additional material inside the box which I no longer have but I do still have the box, and provided pictures of it below. The box gave the impression that I had received a product of quality, and I have not been disappointed with what was inside. The material the box is made of has a nice texture, and the logo is embossed in silver foil. All my life it seems I have never really had a belt that fit properly.I've had this belt now for a few weeks and LOVE IT. wish I had found out about these years ago (or whenever they first came out).The buckle is very heavy duty and the belt itself seems just like other dress belts I have owned.I wish they made a brown leather one however as I haven't seen that color from this particular company.PS: I saw some reviews where people had trouble getting the belt off. I have not had that issue, however there is a 'trick' to it - you must 'tighten' the belt a 1/2 click while holding the buckle release button first, then you can loosen it. if you just press the button and then try to loosen, it won't work. This is similar to how watch bands work - you have to tighten just a tad to get the little tab out of the slot before you can loosen the band - similar concept here. It really is not an issue. (now, maybe folks had issues other than what I am describing, but all I can say is I have 0 issues with the 2 belts I have).5
