Worth every penny!I bike at least an hour every day 6 days a week and had noticed a lot of pain in my hands to the point where it was getting unbearable. I started looking for padded gloves at a decent price and these fit the bill. As most of the other reviews already stated, these run small. I'm a female and my hands are nowhere near 9+ inch palm girth, but the Large gloves fit me well. I could have possibly managed with a medium pair, but would rather have them loose than tight.These are very comfortable. My hands did sweat a little, but not much. After biking with them both yesterday and today my hands are pain free. I'll probably buy a couple more pairs for back-up. 5Nice gloves.Nice gloves. I agree with the reviewer who commented about the huge closure tab. It is ugly and unnecessary. I also removed it and the gloves are better for that operation. They don't need it and they are comfortable. They do have pretty thick pads, but I doubt it helps. I have marginal carpal tunnel syndrome and it was probably caused by riding. I don't think the extra thick pads do much to help, but the gloves are at least as good as others I have. The one problem I originally had with the gloves is that they don't have any cords/tabs to help get them off, but again, I have decided it isn't a big deal. Just slide your finger into the palm side and work them off. The net evaluation is this: good gloves with modifications. The extra padding is there if you think it is useful. 4Great Gloves except for the oversized closure tabs.The look and feel of these gloves is find, but look at the photo of the closure tabs. There much wider than conventional gloves, and the very wide tabs extend well beyond the Velcro strip, allowing these unusually wide tabs to flap in the window and in extreme conditions, to blow open.I like the style and feel of the gloves and the padding is fine, but those big flips, oriented so turbulence from movement or just a strong headwind, makes those tabs flap, and in more extreme conditions, to open on their own. It's a bad design for anyone who is competitive. 4Avoid this crap!!Cheap material that starts wearing off during the first miles. Pads are sown on half an inch lower than where they are supposed to be. And the worst part is that they are lying about "GEL"! Luckily one of pads' seam came undone and turns out it's just firm foam instead of gel in those pads!! 1These are not Gel Groves!made in china and very poor quality. They are advertized as "Gel" gloves, but in actuality it appears to be some cheap plastic padding. I was really surprised at the extremely poor quality and yet had such high ratings, something is't right here, there must be some questionable reviews that have been submitted. Avoid these - do not buy. 1Inbike Gel Pad Bike Glove reviewI bike a lot and for the past year or so have suffered from tingling/numbness in my fingers and pain in my palms which has been getting worse. I bought ergonomic handle grips for my hybrid bike which helped a bit but not fully. I was using another brand of gel gloves with continued symptoms. Today I tried the Inbike Gel gloves for the first time. I am a size 7.5 glove, and a large as per the inbike sizing recommendations and the gloves fit fine. There were two differences between the inbike glove and my other gel gloves. The first is the gel is softer on this glove. The second is the gel extends across the entire palm. This is opposed to the other gel gloves where there is some gel on the base of the palm with open spaces between them. Today after using the inbikes I realized how important the gel placement is. Because the gel is across the whole palm, the weight of my hand was distributed across a larger area, with the other brand glove the weight is mostly over just the areas where the gel is, causing more pressure over those elevated areas. So with a softer gel and better weight distribution I had no numbness/tingling on a 20 mile ride today for the first time in a while, and my hands felt much better on the handlebars than previously. I had very minor palm pain near the end of the ride, but this was much less than I was getting before and was really more of a minor irritation then a pain, and may be more a reflection of chronic inflammation in my hands than a reflection on the gloves. I wish I had discovered these gloves a few years ago.Addendum: I liked the short finger gloves so well, I bought the long fingered ones. Same great palm padding, and I can use my cell phone with the gloves on. 5 stars. 5Great padding, online sizing not accurateI really like these gloves, the padding is the best I have tried. Thick pads, large & located where the padding is needed. "Gel" is a generic term these days, referring to the real gel liquid filled pads and to dense closed cell foam. These are the later, but seem to work quite well. Unlike cheap foam that flattens & looses it rebound during and after rides, these pads keep their thickness and function.The sizing issue is illustrated in the attached photo with the Amazon sizing added to the sizing on the packing card. The Amazon website drop down selection info is incorrect. The packing card that comes with the gloves has the correct sizing chart. The Amazon chart appears to be shifted one size small, so size up for the correct size.I found this out the hard way, and had to return the first set of gloves, but Amazon makes that pretty easy and free (at least if you have Prime).The first set had a torn seam, so it was going back anyway. The new, correct sized glove fit well, and seem to be well made, no issues with the seams or general quality. The "pull tab" provided to help remove the gloves isn't very helpful IMHO, and I expect it to tear off eventually, but I usually just pull the glove off so they are inside out anyway, so I can wash them after the ride...they get pretty sweaty and start to smell after a few rides if I just let the sweat dry (TMI?). But the quality of the padding is what I am most impressed with. if it holds up over time it will be a bonus. 5I'm a 7.5 glove size and got the mediumI just got these gloves and they look nice and feel comfortable (although I haven't used them yet). I was going to get a small since my hand measures 7.5 inches, but everyone said to order a size up; I waffled and decided to go with what everyone said. I think I could have gotten away with a small, but the medium fits pretty good - a little loose, but I guess better a little loose than tight? Here is a picture of the back of the packaging to show how the sizing works. I don't think I saw this when I was ordering. 4Five stars after a slight alterationI m very happy with these gloves. The size M fits my 7.75 hand very comfortably it might be a tad large if anything, but I like the relaxed fit. The padding is just what I was looking for. The oddly large closure tabs, however, were not. They re big, clunky, and hot, so I removed them and their counterpart Velcro patches on the gloves. I d buy these gloves again and I d also alter them again but hopefully, the manufacturer will take note of how many of us have taken scissors to the closure tabs and just eliminate the silly things. 5Five Stars If You Do a Little SurgeryReally like these gloves - fit is good, gel pads are in the right place, comfortable, and look good.Here's why I took a star, otherwise could be five stars. The huge velcro closure is unattractive, cumbersome, and in the way for (sorry) nose wiping, BUT... if you take a pair of scissors and cut off the velcro flap where it hits the glove and then take a knife and cut off the plastic emblem tag that is underneath the velcro (not seen in picture) you then have a really nice glove set.Buying another couple sets. Would recommend. 4
