    Thick & SupplePros:- Very thick- Very supple- Nice colorCons:- Bit largeI wear a 36" waist denim, 35" if I could find them, can't. The suggested a 36-38 Large, bit long. I'm to the last hole with no shirt tucked in. I punched a pair of additional holes: one between the last two and a second ~1/2" after the last hole to allow more flexibility. I ordered the "tan", to my eye brown and the website color was spot on.I was expecting a long break-in with stiff leather, not so, became an old friend in a day, very supple. No odor, no defects, nicely made.4Genuine, not full grain, Leather but still awesomeSeems like a very nice belt. It is made of Genuine Leather as is shown in the title not "full grain" as appears in the description. Would be five stars but I'm disappointed this was not full grain leather despite these words showing in the description. I don't know whether this the seller intended this or just doesn't know the difference. Still a great belt. Looks good and seems solid.4NOT FULL GRAIN PERIODThis is NOT full grain leather belt. I have several leather belts 2 of them bought from amazon. For my casual daily use I wear full grain leather belts. They are thick, strong and because of grains, they have unique characteristics to them. With time they age gracefully and looks even better. But can't say for this belt. I understand that it's little bit cheaper than other full grain belts are being sold here. But as a consumer I'd like to win by saving money NOT get fooled. Stop the FALSE claims please. The belt looks well made. But advertise it as it is. It is not a dress belt, nor is it too thick. Reading the reviews, I was a little worried, but it seems to be a good piece of hide. One reviewer expressed concern that it is not full grain leather as advertised. The belt is stamped "genuine leather," but the grain seems inconsistent, and I located a few hide scars. I am not expert, but I think that it is full grain leather. Maybe it doesn't translate well from Chinese. Also, sizing was spot on. I measured the 34-36" belt, and to the center hole, it was exactly 35". My only complaint: MADE IN CHINA. It is not in the description, and I only located it in reviews after is arrived, hence the all caps.5Cheap. Poorly made.Not the best leather. The belt loop was held together by a staple. Made in China. Not worth the admittedly cheap price.1New review....I ve been trying to find a belt that matched my wine colored shoes for some time. This belt in wine color met my needs. The quality is great for the price.11/ 6/17After wearing this belt a couple times i have noticed the belt color (wine) has been rubbing off the belt onto my pants. Not good!3Best belt straps on Amazon...It s made from a rawhide blank just like similar belts on Amazon. The sellers then dye the blanks, the best ones being dyed in a tannery. I noticed one bad review stating the Gelante isn t full grain, which is incorrect. You just need to understand the process; this is full grain!!!A few reviewers complained that the belts bleed onto pants. Two things are happening here. First, the belt is new so the dye is fresh and the belt hasn t been worn and bent around yet, so this can happen with any newly dyed belt. There are products which can seal/cure dye but in this price range it s not to be expected, besides then people would just complain about the sealer s smell instead. You may ask then why doesn t my cheap dress belt bleed? That s because your cheap dress belt is bonded leather at best, not solid leather, so they can t bleed..however they will crack to pieces. Second, humidity and your sweat will facilitate the bleeding making it worse. In my opinion, after you break-in the belt and it bleeds a bit, it will happen less if at all. Wear them with like-colored pants you won t even notice it.I much prefer when the belt blank is fully dipped into dye like this; the alternative is that they only dye the top and sides, usually only a very thin layer, which leads to spots where the dye rubs and chips off so the original light-colored rawhide blank then shows through, basically ruining your colored belt. That happens fairly quickly, usually within a couple of wears on those other belts.I purchased the wine color, a bit darker indoors though much brighter wine color in the sunlight. Don t get distracted by the lighter wine inner color, that s only because the underneath is the suede side of the leather so it s always lighter.The snaps on the Gelante are very good as well. I tested them several times and there was no weakening or issues with their effectiveness. They remained solidly pressed in the leather after each test. TIP: Don t rip open the snaps on any belt like a beast, open them carefully one at a time so they last especially if you re one of those people who constantly change out your buckles.There are other belts on Amazon dyed similarly however none have the belt hole sizing of Gelante. They re perfectly spaced even if you fluctuate in waist size. The holes themselves are a perfect size for solid buckles.There are more independent reviews of other brands I ve sampled; just press my name to view my profile.In summary, the Gelante is a high quality, tough belt for the price and worthy of 5 stars. Now that you understand the process, you can make an informed decision.Update: after a few months I m even more impressed. I m calling Gelante the best of them all! I now own more colors and check back regularly for new colors.5Great for a costume not for daily useI rarely leave reviews, but I was compelled to by the awful quality of this belt. I don t know what I was expecting, but it was not this. I own a faux leather belt from ASOS and two Handcrafted belts: a saddle leather one and a full grain leather belt for reference. I wasn t expecting this belt to be at the level of quality of my handcrafted ones, but I didn t expect my cheap faux leather belt to be better quality. To start, I don t know if this is full grain leather as it claims, the weight and feel of the belt feels off. It kind of reminds me of styrofoam? Secondly, one look at the finish of the belt told me this would not last past one wear. And lastly the snaps. The snaps are cheap feeling and big I could not get my belt buckles through either end of the belt. Overall this belt feels like something you would get as part of a cheap costume not something for everyday wear. I could have gotten something better from Wish lolFor reference, I essentially live in new and vintage leather from pants, jackets, shoes etc to leather accessories and I have a mix of leather (lamb, cow, exotics, etc) so I feel very confident in my review of this belt. So yes, I will be returning this belt without question.I am not sure if whoever gave this belt a good review has ever worn/had quality leather, but this is not it.
