Customer Reviews

Great investment in safety and durabilityThese are a pair of very good quality gloves. They fit well and the wrist protection is firm and solid. I always wear hand wraps and would definitely recommend wraps with these gloves when breaking them in. I train Muay Thai 3-4 times a week and have a background in amateur olympic style Western boxing. In comparison with other gloves I've tried at various gyms, such as TITLE Classic Pro Style synthetic 16 oz or Everlast MMA 12 oz, I like the wrist protection, padding and firmness of these gloves. Also, these are not as big and clumsy as TITLE gloves. It's worth to invest a few extra bucks in a pair of gloves that will last long, instead of buying cheap ones and taking the risk of injuring the wrist or the knuckles. It's the same as when you buy shoes: they need to fit well. That's why I bought these. 5Love them and the color is trueMy 14 YO Daughter loves Muay Thai, she asked for new gloves for Christmas. Talked with others at her gym and they all recomended this brand. Talked to her master and he told me that 16oz would be heavy for her but she would be able to grow with them and she was strong only getting stronger. She loves the feel and though they do wear her out but she is getting use to them and getting stronger. we also bought her: Meister Glove Deodorizers for Boxing and All Sports - Absorbs Stink and Leaves Gloves Fresh - Fresh Linen to help keep them smelling fresher. 5Favorite Gloves for Pad WorkI've decided to go with 10oz gloves for pad/heavy bag use. There is enough padding to protect my knuckles. I started off with the 16oz, which wasn't bad at all. I made the switch so I could work on hand speed. The stitching is done well. The leather is high quality. Fairtex makes high quality products with genuine leather. Love these gloves 5In Love with the GlovesI have been practicing Muay Thai and MMA for about a year and a half and found that my starter gloves just weren't holding up for me anymore. I did a lot of research to try to pick the best possible (while still affordable) set for my upgrade, and these Fairtex beauties have fit my needs perfectly so far. I have been using them several days a week for the past month--on heavy bags, Thai pads, focus mitts, and in some light sparring--and they are holding up well. The color is just as vivid as the product photo, the leather construction is well-made and sturdy, and they feel great on my hands. They are much more supportive on my wrists than my old pair of Everlasts and they also don't carry too much bulk. My punches feel like they're landing much better as a result. I am a 5'2 woman with small hands, and I find that the 12 oz. are a good fit for me with hand wraps underneath. I will edit my review once more time has passed, but hopefully these gloves will have been a good long-term investment in my training.EDIT: I have been using these gloves 3-4 times a week for training with Thai pads, focus mitts, heavy bags, and light sparring and they still look brand new and feel very supportive. I recommend this brand all the time and will definitely purchase again when I eventually need replacements. 5DON T BUY THESE GLOVES!!!!These gloves are terrible. I have been using Fairtex gloves for many years now. Just got these gloves today. These gloves are cheap quality. The listing says 100% leather, but I don t think these are 100% leather. They are more like cheap vinyl. They are not worth $78.80. They should be listed for $35/$45. I would only suggest these gloves for mitt work or double end bag work. Don t buy these for any type of sparring or heavy bag work. I am very surprised that Fairtex would even charge this much for these gloves. They don t even compare to my other Fairtex gloves. Look for another type of glove. Stay away from these. The Fairtex Mexican style glove is by far a top quality glove. I would recommend those. Stay away from these. Very disappointed. 1Just enough stretch and supple. These are superior to Pro Impact and Everlast. They are supple and have just enough stretch to them. I bought a pair of Pro Impact right before these - they are so stiff and do not have any stretchiness. I also really like that the velcro strips on these are thin. Everlast also has thin velcro strips, but these are better. The ones on Pro Impact's are very wide, therefore, they take up a lot of room in the gloves. I am going to buy another pair of these! I am a small girl (under 5 feet in height) so I have small hands, but I found these to be perfect. 5Great gloves for 3 months...Bought these gloves 3 months ago to use for heavy bag training. I had previously used Ringside gloves that were starting to give out after 2 years. These gloves were great while they lasted but after 3 months of use (45 minutes workouts, 4 times a week) but the padding around my knuckles is flaking away and now the gloves move while I punch and skin my knuckles.Pros: solid wrist support, leather and stitching seemed really durable, never felt sore wrists or handsCons: poor ventilation and quick to stink even with cleaning and moisture absorbtion, padding around knuckles began to disintegrate after only 3 months making the gloves painful to use as your hand begins slipping around.I really liked these gloves and wish the padding didn t start falling apart. Based on other reviews, I m suspicious I got an anomalously bad glove but I don t plan on buying again. My Ringside s held up a lot better after longer use. 1Hold up with regular useI am 170 lbs and used the 18 oz gloves for a little over 3 yrs. with heavy bag work and kick boxing 2-3 times a week. They are just now showing slight wear in the inside padding where in the pinky finger area. The outside of each glove has held up excellent. Real leather is worth the cost. These gloves are a worth every penny. 5They are great but they could be betterThey fit well, I am a big guy with big hands, the design is awesome, the material feels great, the only problem i have with them is the lack of better wrist support, I bought the 16oz. and the wrists feel too loose, so if you are a heavy hitter and want them for punching bag i would not get them, for sparring they are alright, the weight of padding is distributed more all over the glove so the knuckles are not too padded, which is not bad, but FYI. 4Love it. The only thing is - I am ...Asked a few different coaches and made decision to buy this one. Love it. The only thing is - I am not so sure if 12oz is right for me. Coach said they would work fine with me but I personally find myself more comfortable to train with heavier gloves. But I decided to keep them and start training with the 12oz gloves I bought anyway as coach himself has 12oz training gloves too (he's like 170lbs)My data FYR - 5'4" female. 5
