Customer Reviews

Actually Compresses!I have been wearing compression shorts from Under Armor, Nike, Adidas, and Champion for about a year. I wear them when I hike in the mountains around Phoenix, AZ. I can tell you that these shorts by Compressionz are superior to all of them for actual compression and fit. Normally, on 10 mile hikes, I get sore hips/ I T Band about 5 miles into the hikes. The other brands have done nothing to help the discomfort because they seem to be just longer underwear without fly's and do little to actually compress. After 10 mile hikes now, wearing Compressionz shorts, I get no pain or fatigue. I must warn you though, these REALLY compress and there is a learning curve to putting them on! Once on, they are extremely comfortable.I have had contact with the seller and have found Compressionz personnel to be extremely helpful and actually care about their product and customer satisfaction. Further, I ask you this: When was the last time you purchased something and received an email from the co founder of a company asking how you like your product? I have several shirts from this company and have always had follow up to insure I am happy with the product. 5Very good shorts, but need an improved waist band.I wear compression shorts like this 5-6 days a week. I ve tried about a dozen different brands but I like this Compression Z the best. Size XL, I m 6 6 and 265. These shorts are long enough in the trunk so that they re not low rise on a guy my size. Unlike some other brands, these don t look like I m wearing underwear. After a work out, I ve picked up things at the grocery store without being embarrassed wearing just these shorts. They seem quite durable after multiple washing. For all of the good points, the one complaint I have and the reason for only 4 stars is that the elastic in the waist band is unsecured within the waist band channel. It s like a rubber band and it quickly rolls up and is like a tight rope at the waist. That s really the only complaint I have for these shorts. 4Nice color, fit, price, quality shortsI really like these compression shorts from compressionZ. I am 6 5 213 lb and a large is a snug fit on me. I would try the XL if it was in stock in a color I want.I am not a fan of the hidden interior pocket. It s difficult to access, and not hidden. It is typically just an odd lump on your hip. I am tempted to cut it off. Also, it would be nice if it was designed to have a bit more of a pouch in the front to provide more room for your junk... I don t need that much compression there. The fabric and stitching are good quality. I like the color and fit of the Navy. Since I am bulking right now, still gaining weight, and these are already pretty snug, I would like to get the XL. Hopefully they ll restock. 4Maximum compression, not expensive underwear. You'll know you have them on during your workout. If you want true compression underwear to assist you in your workout, these shorts are for you. I'm 65 years old and have been very athletic all my life. I've found that if you want shorts that truely give you compression for your workout, you must fine shorts that are around 85% nylon and 15% spandex -- and these fit the bill. I've found that compression shorts that are 85% polyester and 15% spandex are just expensive underwear and give very little support. So, if you don't want to feel the compression, or if you want to wear something you can't tell you have on, pick the polyester ones. But, beware -- these are tight. I simply don't know how to generate compression if the shorts don't compress something. If you want maximum compression, select your normal size. However, if you only want a hint of compression, select one size larger. However, for someone who want's maximum compression and have on shorts that remind me their providing me with compression during my workout, I like these shorts. My only minor thing is I wish the material was just a tad thicker. But of all the ones on the market today, these shorts are great. 5By far the best compression shorts I have ever had and by that ...Bought this in march 2016 and tested through the summer while cycling and running. By far the best compression shorts I have ever had and by that I mean that they actually compress/support muscles in comparison to some other high branded shorts, that act more like second-skin tight base layers. Highly recommended! Will be buying compressionz tights soon for winter runs. 5Comfortable and stays in place.I am training for a half marathon and started doing research on compression shorts after experiencing hip pain and minor chaffing after long runs. After researching I found many people prefer a nylon based product over polyester. I searched for nylon based compression shorts and 3 brands showed up with CompressionZ having the best reviews. I wear a size 33/34 waist and I am 5'9" 185lbs and the Large seems to fit me perfectly. I have done two runs now both over 10 miles, and these shorts have made a big difference. Everything stays in the right place, there is no rubbing, they don't ride up, and they wick moisture nicely. It has also cut down on my hip pain, especially wearing them after running for recovery as well (different pair of course). The only negative I have experienced is the first time I took them off I had white rubbery flakes all over my skin. I quickly realized it was the lettering material used on the inseam with the size and washing directions. Really wasn't a big deal. Another minor inconvenience is they say do not tumble dry, I assume because it may melt the nylon, so I have to remember to pull them out when changing over the laundry. I haven't had them long enough to know what the wear and tear is like, but I hope they hold up and don't stretch out for a long time. 4Great value for a quality productFirst off, these are compression clothes, if you aren t reasonably fit for your height, BMI, then you may have a tough time getting into & out of them, especially the shirt. Consider a larger size. Overall the quality & fit is excellent. I was a little concerned that at the price point that they would not offer the compression that I was after, but that concern was unfounded. The cut, seams and fit are excellent with no binding, chafing or creeping after extended wear & vigorous activity. The shirt has a grip coating inside the bottom hem. It will stay in place on your skin or probably some other material but it doesn t grip well to the matching bottoms. Not a problem as it will end up at your belt line and stay there. The shirt is cut long, around 4 -6 below your belt line. The breathability is exceptional, any better and you ve have to run naked. Actually these are better than naked because they evaporate the sweat instead of it pouring off your body. If you are running or working out in front of a fan, you can feel the air against your bare skin. I ve run several 5K s in typical Florida heat, in both the shorts, & full length pants and of course the shirt. I opt for the long pants as they provide support for my calves and they are actually cooler due to the improved sweat evaporation than just the shorts. I m considering going with the long sleeve shirt for the same reason.Running solitary, I wouldn t worry too much about modesty, the bottoms do a good job keeping everything in place and smoothed. If you run an event or work out around other people, then you might want to wear some running shorts. Be sure to find the lightest, thinest, no liner, side cut shorts that you can, anything worn over (or under) will feel hot. Same if you decide to wear something over the shirt. My first time out, I wore a t-shirt which was a mistake. I won t wear anything but the CompressionZ layer unless I need the shorts for modesty.I didn t know quite what to expect in the way of performance but afterwards it was immediately apparent. Since I mainly wear these while running, keeping your muscles supported & keeping them from jarring/moving/flopping when they relax while your feet pound the pavement makes a tremendous difference in recovery afterwards. This was most evident in my calves. With my calve muscles slamming with each step, they d ache for days afterwards. Keeping them supported prevents that pain and I can easily run consecutive days. The same is true for your pects, oblique back muscles, glutes etc.Overall, I m very pleased wth the product, a few more color selections would be really nice. Since I work out every day, I reordered several more sets to get me between washings. A great value in compression wear. 5Men - buy but bewareThese are good shorts. My first compression shorts. Fabric and construction all appear to be good, and no problems after first couple of washes. Two notes that may be of interests though.1. For men in particular, the two seam that run down the front are to give the family hardware nothing harsh to rub against. It works, however, they didn't take the design quite far enough and my hardware still catches the seam on the sides. It's not a deal breaker, but I'd think twice before hopping on a 50 mile bike ride, as tiny rubs can become huge issues after hours in the saddle.2. For men trying to use this for biking or cyclocross as an alternative to shorts with gel inserts, which I have grown to hate and always feel like I am wearing a diaper with no real pay off in comfort if your seat is adjusted correctly, these will work really good, BUT they will show an outline of the family hardware. On the bike that might not matter. Jogging it might not matter. The fabric is good and does not show through. I might think twice about something like a yoga class or a family photo in these things - just a bit too much showing.Hope that helps. Cheers.Right now I am using these for spin class, putting light gym shorts over them, and they are working great. 4Finally compression shorts that feel like compression shorts; not tight underwear.I've been wearing compression shorts since 2011 when I started running and doing heavy squats. UA was the first brand and I fell in love. Over the years, their brand became more of just tight underwear with no compression. These things hold everything tight and give the support I've been looking for for years. They run a little long on me (stops just above the knees) but I don't mind. Usually my gym shorts and running shorts build up massive amounts of static cling but these don't. I own 3 pair now and will probably be buying more to replace the other brands I've bought over the years. 5Great for Working Out!I use compression shorts for my workouts because I don't like how normal shorts ride-up when I'm doing floor exercises on my back. Most of my other "compression" shorts are more like spandex tights with little compression. These are the real deal. There is a moderate amount of compression, so it doesn't bind movement like when doing squats and lunges, and the waistband doesn't cut into your waistline. Leg seams don't ride up and the elastic doesn't bite into your legs. I have a 30" waist and normal sized thigh muscles. The medium fits me really well. 5
