    Quality ProductSlides around a bit while I roll, but offers good protection, doesn't obstruct hearing, is low profile, and the padded exterior is easy on my training partners. Would definitely recommend buying the chin cup on the side and throwing away the chin strap, as the latter makes you feel like you're being strangled. Also, it helps to criss-cross the two straps on top of the head so they don't slide around as much.4BASIC AND EFFICIENT DESIGNBought these for my 6 year old. Got him the adult size and after trimming a good inch or so off the straps. It fits just fine. The chin strap that is provided is fine. He says its comfortable. Only complaint is that he says people sound weird with the small ear holes. Someone else had commented to criss cross the top of the head straps so they wouldn't slip off, but we havent had an issue.5Still around for many good reasons...I've used a lot of different brands of headgear over the years, and while this is typically considered the "old school" brand...it really is still just the best brand I've found.A few things I really like:1) The snap doesn't come off easily...with other velcro brands, this was a constant issue.2) The strap won't cause 'burn marks' under your chin, like other brands had in the past.3) The ear-guards themselves don't protrude out far, which had been an annoyance for some of my workout partners (particularly in jiu-jitsu)4) They last a very long time.The only minor annoyance I have with these is that they are a bit of a pain to get initially adjusted to fit. Once they are, however, they stay in place extremely well.5... Asics wrestling gear as I thought they were the best then my sons wrestling coach told me to try ...I have always purchased Asics wrestling gear as I thought they were the best then my sons wrestling coach told me to try this one and he loves it. Coach says we won't have to buy him another one in his high school wrestling carrier. (he's a sophmore and has already gone through 3 of the asics) It is hard to adjust but once you get it there it is worth it.5Awesome headgear, avoid jiu-jitsu cauliflower ear.Great headgear I use for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). They take time to adjust but stay snug afterward. I added the 2-slot strap holder which is nice. I also replaced the chin/neck strap with a chin cup which I prefer. It's very comfortable, it's soft so it doesn't bother training partners. My head sweats a bit more with the headgear on but I only need it when we're sparring and working certain takedowns. There are other options and I did my research. I dig the classic look and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. Cauliflower ear is very uncomfortable.5This headgear gave me cauliflower earI do BJJ and roll pretty rough, and never had a problem with the cauliflower ear. I got these preemptively cause I'm not about that life. Today, they grated against someone in a scramble and the left can came off, and took the ear lobe with it. Now it's all swollen and puffy. I had them on tight, but not too tight; if they're too tight, then the strap rubs against my adam's apple and irritates my windpipe. So maybe I didn't have them on tight enough, but if that's the case, then it's because the product is poorly designed.1Best headgear I've ownedI've wrestled all my life, and this is the best headgear I've owned. Does the job, stays on, easy to clean (though it doesn't get funky to begin with since it has no fabric). Not hard to adjust once you get the hang of it (and then once you have the perfect adjustment, it will stay that way).I'm also starting to get into BJJ, and this design isn't annoying to your rolling partners. The shells are mostly flat and are padded with a soft, smooth exterior.The first thing you should do when you unpack it is snip off the extra bit of strap after the snap, which will make it easier to snap on because the useless bit won't get in the way. Next, cross the top straps (swap the slots they enter), otherwise the one in front will end up in your eyes when you're wrestling. If you're bothered by the smell it has when it's new, All-Natural Deodorizer that Eliminates Odors, 12 FL.OZ. Bottle, Kills Bacteria and Fungi, Cleans and Disinfects. For all types of Athletic Gear. gets rid of it or at least masks it with a pleasant bubble gum smell.A lot of people like the chin strap (not included) instead of the neck strap. That's a matter of taste; I've tried both and personally prefer the neck strap. And then among the neck-strap users, some like the black pad (myself included) while others don't. You may need to experiment.5Chokes you if you don't replace the bottom strap with a chin cupI use this for BJJ, and the bottom strap is completely unsuitable. I replaced it with the optional chin cup which was a big improvement. It is very difficult to adjust, but holds the adjustment once you do. The rigid cups do a good job of protection of my ears, but there may not be enough soft material covering them for comfort of my training partners. Very soft on your partner, and you start to forget it's there when you're rolling. My one criticism is that it should come with directions. It's not exactly intuitive how you are supposed to adjust. But, you know, use your brain. You will figure it out.5Works, affordable, requires much effort to adjust to good fit.This headgear will never be considered an easy to adjust headgear. It is a decent quality headgear but is very tough to get a good fit. It seems all that wear it have trouble keeping it from slipping down across their eyes. Since tape is no longer an allowable option to hold the straps together I found the plastic piece to hold the two straps together, available on Amazon but found cheaper at local sporting goods store, does help some.The variety of colors is nice to have. Although the picture of the red in no way represented the actual correct red we received and expected. Little worried, but turned out the red was a true red, not the red in the picture at time of my order.If the strap across the neck doesn't work for you, there is a chin strap option sold separately.The headgear works and is affordable, even if purchasing optional accessories.4
