Customer Reviews

Super comfortable pantsI've been looking for good pants for years and finally found these. Not too expensive, great fit, and pockets only where you need them. I never liked jeans (they tended to bind), cargo pants are too informal, and nothing else fit quite right. With just a touch of spandex, these things move with you and never bite. The only better pants I've found are from Duluth Trading Company, and they have the same idea: cotton with a bit of spandex. Works like a charm.5Good pants, color is off. These pants are very roomy. I m a bigger guy at 285 lbs., the flex is nice. I bought my normal size and these are slightly larger than what I m use to but not too large where I had to return them. I washed and dried them to shrink them a hair and I think they ll be perfect now. Only gave 4 stars because of the color. I ordered the Peat color and wanted green like what s in the picture but the green is very dark and almost a dark grayish green. I m sure they ll lighten up after several washes like all other Carhartt clothes.4For us guys with tree trunk legs that work in the heat. For us guys that have them tree trunk legs. These work pants are for you. Bottom line is, these pants are loose & comfortable around big thighs, stretch comfortably while bent over, climbing, etc., light weight & cool while working in the heat & most importantly, very durable in the field & job site. I highly recommend these pants for us stocky guys.5The fit on these is true in the waist and possibly long in the inseam.Rating is based on fit alone. They're work pants, not for style. They're comfortable and they fit. They're Carhart, so I trust they'll hold up.Fit: I usually wear a 32x32 in Levis jeans. 32x31 when I can find them. One thing I really dislike is when my pant legs get damp or muddy and I end up walking on them or getting my boot heel caught in them. So I ordered the 32x30 thinking, "it might be too short, but so what, they're work pants." I'm glad I did because the hem falls exactly where it should. The waist on these sits just below my navel. I'm 5'9" around 160 lbs. I tend to have a hard time finding pants that fit both my legs and my waist--usually I have to go up a waist size to get a good fit in my legs and then I have to cut an extra hole in my belt to keep the pants up. The relaxed fit of these pants allows plenty of room in the legs without a too-big waist.4Awesome work pants for guys with big legsI'm a bigger guy with tree trunks for legs and work as a technician on fishing vessels for a living. Finding pants that fit me as they should is a constant uphill battle, much less a pair of work pants that would give me the flexibility to do my job effectively. This is no longer an issue in the least now that I've found these pants. The stretch in them makes crouching, bending, or any other activity feel as though I were just wearing gym shorts. They are also extremely rugged. Where other pants have torn or frayed after a few months of use, I have been wearing a few pairs of these for several years and they are holding up as if they were brand new (albeit the stains I've gotten on them). I can't recommend these enough for folks that have big legs and need flexibility to do their job.5My favorite pants. The sizing of these are right on. The waist fits well, the legs aren't too tight or too baggy, and the length is spot on. They're comfortable and durable; I have three pairs and they're pretty much all I wear. The only issue is he cell phone pocket. It's in kind of a useless position. Doesn't really take anything away for me, as I wouldn't use it anyway, but if you intend to, it's in a really awkward spot.5Bad quality, five pairs all same issueStyle is good but quality is bad, I ordered 5 pair to work in, all at different times even diffetent colors. After about 3 or 4 washes, the upper buttock area ripped near the seam on every pair of these. I do bend a lot with my job but always with my legs. I am not overweight at all so the pants fit loose on me and have plenty of room so it wasn't because they were too tight. Just really poor quality and approx $175 wasted on ripped pants. Other styles of same brand do not have the same issue and I would recommend Iooking past this style. Further none of my other pants or clothing have this issue so it cannot be related to laundering practices . Just bad quality.1Excellent choice for a woman who wants work pants that actually workUnable to find women's work pants with enough depth in the rise to keep the pants up while I'm working and my frustration with the difficulty of finding women's pants the right length for my slightly-longer-than-average legs, I decided to try men's pants. Lucky for me (and Amazon's returns department), I was able to try on my son's well-worn and many times washed Carhartts to get a reasonable guess as to what size pants to order for myself. My first pair was a 32x34 B151 (son's favorite summer-weight pant) and after a couple of washings (very slight shrinkage). They are comfortable for working, but just a bit baggy for the ideal fashion statement. This was my second try (31x34) and it just might become my favorite. They fit trimly and the spandex ensures that movement is free and easy. A belt is necessary to snug them at the waist (I have managed to avoid the extra step of putting on a belt for decades) - I expected this with a men's cut - but (unlike the women's pants I tried) at least the waist is high enough that the belt actually holds my pants up.5these pants are a great midweight work pantPay attention to length, consider going up a size. Otherwise, these pants are a great midweight work pant. The flex is a nice feature and perfect if you have to bend down at work, e.g. carpenter, plumber, etc. Great range pants and more affordable and discreet than 5.11 or other tacticool brands. If you subscribe to any of the tenants of the Grey Man Directive, these pants are serviceable. Pockets are deep, comes with a left leg cell pocket. Quality stitching and great overall fit. Will buy again.5Pants PerfectionI've been wearing Carhartt pants to work almost exclusively for the past five years or so. Mostly I've been wearing the B151s and B159s. I hate sitting on my cell phone and I detest having to dig it out from a front pocket, so I was first attracted to these pants because of the cell phone pocket on the right leg. It holds a phone securely, with easy access sitting or standing. I work in a construction office, and while a lot of my work is at a desk, I do spend time doing field work as well. The B151 and B159 pants straddle (pardon the mental image) that fence quite well, but lean more toward the field work side of my world.Enter these glorious Rugged Flex Rigby Dungarees: They fill in the blanks that the 151s and 159s missed. They're equally at home in an airport or on a construction site. Cell phone pocket only on one side, instead of the uselessly small left-side pockets and dorky hammer loop that I always cut off on the others (seriously, what self-respecting carpenter would stick a hammer in his pants?). They have just a bit of flex in them, which keeps them from binding up. They're not as loose as my B151s, but they feel more comfortable because of the flex. I never expect to find pants that I'll like better than these. In my experience, Carhartt pants always run long and tight, so I order one size shorter and one size wider than on other pants. Worked out perfectly on these.5
