    Read the reviews carefullyI'm glad I read so many reviews before ordering this. They were so mixed, and it wasn't the fault of the buyers. One buyer had bought two of them, one in each color, and they had a 4 inch difference between them. In the end I just guessed and I lucked out. I'm 5'6", 190 lbs, yes, a delicate flower. I thought the 1XL would be just fine according to their sizing chart, I decided to go with the 2XL. My 'difficult to fit' area is my chest, it measures 44". The 2XL fits nicely, though it still hangs down too far and reveals my bra, and my bra isn't particularly tall, either. I can fix this by pinning the dress to my bra straps. The laces, if started from the top, DO NOT start far enough down, especially after I pinned it up by half an inch. I fixed that by starting the lacing on the third rung down. Cinching up the excess midriff material causes some, sort of odd, material bunching that continues upwards into the bust. Not a big deal in my book. This is a costume not a Mother-of-the-Bride dress. Some people complained the arms were too tight. My upper arms measure 13.5" at the biggest part and it fit me fine, but I wouldn't want to suggest this size if your arms are more than about 14". It is quite long, but I think having it drag a bit just adds to the effect. It's stitched and hemmed all around, some costumes are just left with raw edges. I liked that the sleeves had the fold tacked to hold in place, I had thought I would need to do that. The hood is roomy, you can place it however you like it and there's plenty of room. The material is a nice weight, not like some of those non-hemmed costumes I mentioned. For the price, it's excellent! I left off one star for the issues I stated.4Amazaing!Amazing quality!! Great thick material! Beautifuly made. The costume comes exactly as pictured. The manufacturer has listen to the reviews about the sizing. They have corrected the problem. I read the reviews about ordering 2 size bigger. I did that ..and my costume was a tad big..maybe a inch or two. Not a big deal. I wear a 1X ......i order a 3X.... I should have gotren a 2X. I wear a 46DDD bar and I am curvy.I am 5'11. The dress goes all the way to the floor. If you are short, you will need heels or have it altered. I might buy another or get alterations done. I rather it be a little too big than too small and tight. Once I laces up every loop, it sinched me in, giving me the look that i wanted. The ribbon provided isn't long enough. I went to Michael's and purchased my ribbon. Also, Get some black hair bands to use to secure your rolled up sleeves so you can use the bathroom and wash your hands. The sleeves are extremely long. You need to get them out of your way so you won't mess up your beautiful dress. I recommend this costume.5Read reviews before you buy!!!Is it Halloween yet??? I was very worried after reading the reviews on this that I was going to get the wrong size. I spent hours reading and deciding what the truest fit would be for me ... I am a 14/16 and a 40DD and 5'7". So after debating I went with the 2x. This gown fit me in all the right places with flow still to be had. A little long -however, when I added heels it was just right. Sleeves are a bit long but I can fix that to my liking. Hood is a little big which is nice so it still drapes when sat on crown of the head. Not sure if I will use the string to tighten center as I have access ribbon hanging down even after tied- however, I will play with it between now and my evening out. Made nicely however it will be a spot clean only material for me.5WAY TOO SMALL!Item arrived very quickly and is beautiful, but I normally wear an XL and the 3X wouldn't even go over my shoulders. My mother is a seamstress and looking at it she said it is most likely a size 12 or 14 not the size 20-22 that it says on the label. I'm very disappointed and am returning it.3Fits Perfect, Get your measurements!I was so conflicted when ordering this costume because of the reviews. I already bought a costume from a local Halloween store but I didn't love it. I went back and tried on a few others and just wasn't satisfied. I saw this online and loved it the moment I saw it, but was scared to order because all of the reviews I read said it was cut too small. Normally I would order a 1x (I am 5'4, over 200 lbs, and I wear a 38 DDD), I read one review that said the person is normally a size 12 but ordered the 2x based on reviews and was glad she did because it fit perfect! I am a prime member so I figured if I ordered it and it didn't fit it would be shipped quick enough that I would have time to send it back and order something else if I had to. So I ordered the 2x, and my hopes weren't high about it fitting. Well it was ordered on Friday and came on Sunday and it is PERFECT! Actually it could be a bit smaller but I am not complaining. I am not sure were the majority of reviewers are getting their measurements/weight from? I read several that said their breast wouldn't fit, mine are pretty big and I still have room. Also a lot of reviewers said the arms were to tight and my arms are pretty big and fit with room to spare. The only thing I would suggest is measuring your hips/waist/bust and going off of that. I had those measurements and based off of those and my weight it worked out well. I hope this will help those on the fence about buying this costume based off of the reviews. It is also made very well and I'm sure I will get many uses of it.5Not happy with this itemWay too small. I wear a 1X so I ordered a 3X. I live in a cooler climate and wanted to wear a heavier t shirt under it. I tried it on with out the heavier t shirt and couldn't get it over my shoulders. I am going to return. I will not be buying clothing from Amazon anymore unless it is a well known brand . This was a second time that I tried, first time was a sweater. I think china must think we are all smalls. Not happy with this item.1Robe is excellent, lacing needs work.So pleased with the quality of this robe! It s a light polyester but sewn incredibly well except for one area: the loops on the front lacing. Before I even put it on one of the bottom loops wasn t completely sewn in and was just a hanging string. The second time I tried it on noticed one of the top loops was already starting to pull loose. I d not even tried tightening it and hadn t even tied the lacing yet! I m a busty woman (36DDD) but the fabric was by no means straining. There is plenty of room for a fuller figured woman with the robe itself but the lacing is really shoddy so I suggest either reinforcing it or getting your own corset to wear over the robe.As for fit, I m 5 5 and wear size 14 pants, XL shirts (csection has led to tummy paunch issues), and 36 DDD bust. This fits me great but glad I got a pair of boots with a 2.5 heel or it drags the ground. It still drags a bit but not to the point of having to lift it or trip. If you are comfortable with 3 heels you ll probably have no drag at all. (Ellie brand Amelia Victorian boots are what I got with a pair of red/black striped knee socks, looks amazing!)The sleeves take some getting used to as they are sewn to fold over and expose the red on top of your wrist but twist back as it drapes down.The hood is great and holds its shape without much fiddling. Light enough I m not baking but could fall back in a breeze or with lots of movement. Not a problem for me though.The neckline goes LOW so plan on some neck jewelry or something.Overall love this, just wish the lacing was sturdier.4I'm XL to 1X and the 3X is pretty large on meWell, it should be, shouldn't it? But after reading numerous reviews that the sizes are extremely small (that even 3X does not fit women who usually wear XL!) I was a bit worried. Nevertheless, when the price got down to $10 I decided to take my chances and ordered the 3X.To my surprise, it was quite large on all sides:It was so wide that when I fastened the ribbon on my waste (about 38", I'm not slim) there wasn't much purple left to see! (see pictures).It was so long that it drugged on the floor even with heels (5'7", I'm not short)It was so open and wide in the cleavage that my bra was showing (my bra size is 36DDD, I'm not flat-chested).I have it tailored all around, and probably should have ordered the 2X or maybe even the 1X.The costume itself is very cool, you get exactly what you see in the picture (though the hood doesn't suit my head like the model).Bottom line you may need to size up, but don't over do it.4Nice costume but...I love the costume and it is well made....but I don't think it fits a person that is size 18-20. It is too tight in the top (hello I've got boobs!) My mother-in-law are having to take it out and sew in new fabric so it will fit for the Halloween party I will be attending. Also, we plus size girls don't always have thin arms, and the the arms are a bit tight as well. California Costumes should think about that...if it is for a plus size woman, they usually have meat on their bones. I have plenty of tops that are size 18-20 (maybe a lil smaller even) and they fit my chest and arms just fine. I would say this is more along the lines of an XL not a XXXL. I will fix it and make it work though! The length is great(especially since I am wearing 5 inch heels), and I love the big bell on the bottom of the sleeves, also the hood stays on my head (which makes me happy, because I don't want it falling down all night.) Overall it's a nice costume, just wish companies would realize there are women with big boobs and meat on their bones!3Five StarsLove it!5
