    Runs largeThis is decent quality but it does run very large. I have a tall, slim almost 8 year old. She needs a kid's size 8 for length but pants are usually baggy.I expected the waist would be loose (it is) but the dress is nearly ankle length. The pinafore would take care of the extra girth in the dress but the straps will need to be shortened so it will sit right on my kid. Those are way too long for the size this is supposed to be as well. 4Cute, but NOT satin...I was excited about this costume--it looked well made, and many of the reviews mentioned that it was a satin material (the dress part). It is not-- the blue part is a cheapy nylon/polyester looking material that really cheapened the look. Also, it has a tie closure at the neckline which is awkward, and then just two small strips of velcro to close up the dress back. But-- it fits my daughter well, and she loves it. And it is better quality than many costumes. She is almost 8, average build, and around 65 lbs. The small fits her well, and is tea-length on her. The apron straps are a little too long, so I'll need to do some altering there. All in all, I'm pleased with the purchase, and only a tad disappointed. :) 4Cute Alice Dress, Does run Big in SizeThis was a very nice costume that we used for a Disneyland Halloween party. The size does run BIG. My daughter Is 6 and pretty tall, we ordered a small after reading reviews and it was still pretty long. We hemmed the bottom of the dress to make it just the right length but overall we loved it. She got a lot of compliments on it :) 5Almost perfectI'm actually really pleased with this costume. It's soft, not terribly sheer (as flimsy costumes tend to be, I have found no loose threads, and my daughter loves it.My daughter is between a size 10 and size 12, so I ordered the Large. It's a bit snug in the chest, but the perfect length. The apron, as everyone else has noted, is huge. I will have to take each shoulder strap in at least 3 inches.My daughter wants to go to Halloween as the Alice who slay the Jabberwocky. Originally, our intent was to get a chestplate to go over the dress (along with a vorpal sword and a severed dragon head for a candy bucket), but it's so lovely with the well made apron and we'll executed collar, that rather than cover it in armor we may just splatter it with blood and let the sword and head tell the tale.If the dress were a bit bigger in the torso so that it actually fit like a 10/12 and the apron didn't need alteration, this would have been an out of the ballpark 5 stars. And I don't give perfect scores lightly. I really wanted to with this one though. 4Not sized correctly.Taking marks down for fit. I bought a small child's size, my kid is 7 and just an average 7 year old height. The dress came down to almost an ankle, super wide as well. The apron I had to cut the shoulder straps about 10 inches and resow in the back. After which she decided she did not want to have those at all, and I cut it off. Turned a bit into Dorothy if you ask me. Here's a pic, we dressed up for Magic Kingdom's Mickeys not so scary Halloween party. (highly recommend it :) ) Overall no idea who the model for child small was, but she must've been 5 feet tall and 200 lbs. 2Way too big and poor qualityI ordered an x-small (for age 4-6). It was massive for my 7 year old daughter who is average height. It goes down to her ankles. The apron was poorly made, and fits so awkwardly, one of the straps was sewn wrong or inside out. I had to alter the entire costume to make it fit properly. 1Worked for the role of GoldilocksI purchased this for my 10 year old daughter's role of Goldilocks in a school play. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality and construction of this costume. However, my only complaint is that the apron straps are too long and kept falling off her shoulders. As a remedy without actually altering it, I took the ties of the apron in the back, looped the right tie through the left apron strap, then looped the left tie through the right apron strap, then made a regular bow while pulling the extra strap material down. It's not the ideal solution for keeping the straps from falling down, but it worked in a pinch. RUNS BIG! Order 1 size smaller.My daughter wears a size 7/8, but after reading reviews I decided to order an xsmall 4-6. It fits her well, but she has a small frame, and I feel like it was still a little big on her. I feel like the xsmall would never fit a 4 or 5 year old.. unless they are very tall for their age. My daughter is a tall and skinny 6 year old, and the xsmall still gives her room to grow into it.It still made for a great Halloween costume. 4Adorable, NOT see-through, and fit accurately...This turned out much better than expected for the price. The material isn't as see-through as it appeared it could be in the photos, which is great for a child's costume.I see others complaining about the fit accuracy, but it fit perfectly using the chart in the photos section. So A+ for that. My daughter loves it. For the price... it can't be beat. Definitely would recommend. 5Great item for the priceGreat item for the price. Daughter was Alice in a play and it was perfect. She loved the shiny material, I think it is just a wee bit cheaper-looking. Again, for the price it is great. Like other reviewers, I had to alter the apron because the straps were too long. Sizing is child size. I ordered medium for my daughter that wears size 12 and the dress part fit perfectly. I also ordered a small due to reviews. It was shorter by 1-2 inches, but everything else was the same size and it had the same size apron with the too-long straps. Hope this helps! 4
