Great Boots For A Great Price!There soft and comfortable and I'll definitely order more! The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 stars was for two reasons:1. The sizing is so different from what my usual size is. I wear a men's 7.5 and I had ordered an 8 because they only run in full sizes. When realizing they were too small I ordered a 9, and it fits perfectly!2. The picture of the ones I ordered were not what I had received. I received the all dark brown pair but love them just the same so I kept them. But I was expecting a different pair.Overall, they're amazing and I'd recommend them to anyone!4Very comfortable, but sizes run small.I usually wear a 10.5 or 11, but after reading the reviews, I ordered a size 12, and it's a snug fit. They're very warm and very comfortable. The soles are soft, so you do feel the ground through the boot to some degree.5They'd be great if the sizing wasn't so offMuch, much too small for the size, an inch shorter than other size 12 shoes, boots and slippers I own. The difference in actual length is quite obvious when you hold them up to other size 12s. Normally I wear a size 11.5 to 12, but these fit like an 11, tops. It's frustrating because I can't return them as there aren't size 13s (which would ordinarily be gigantic on me but in this case would probably fit fine) currently available in the same color on amazon. And there aren't other black suede/ shearling Ugg-like boots on the market with the slightly manlier sole design I liked about these to begin with. I could actually have worn these out of the house without feeling like a tool, since they don't have that trademark adult-baby-shoe look of regular Ugg boots. It's also a shame because I suspect these would be exceptionally comfortable in the correct fitment. They look good, they have decent cushion to the footbed, and the thick shearling is very soft. If you order these a full size-size and a half up I think you'll love them.Update: Amazon.com didn't have the correct larger size that I needed so I ended up saving my 12s to give as a gift and then buying a Size 13 for myself from another retailer. The size 13s indeed were the correct equivalent to my usual size 12 and they fit fine. They initially felt good on my right foot but had a weird seam or extra glue in the left toe box that felt odd at first but eventually wore-in. They look decent for this style of boot for a guy, and they are great for wearing as couch slippers and for comfy footwear on long car rides or short errands out. Very comfortable as long as you aren't walking. When I walk around in them they slide around on my foot, and I become aware of the unfinished feel of the footbed which has decently thick shearling but underneath doesn't really conform to the shape of my foot. Little arch support and a rather lumpy stiff surface under that nice shearling. These would feel perfect with a squishy layer of memory foam in the footbed. They are better slipper boots for sitting than walking. I am happy with them in that capacity at least, and they are my current go-to slippers, but far from perfect as boots. If they were sized right, had a little more cushion and a more refined shape to the footbed, and were sized accurately, these would get a 5 star rating from me. Only got a 3 star (upgraded from a 2 star) rating from me because of the cost, inconvenience, and wait-time of having to re-order them, and then continuing to have these little niggling annoyances with them after that. I'm sure I would have given them a 4 if they delivered the correct size the first time as they are a much better value when you don't have to pay double for them.3Check the soles and bend them beware of possible defect!Oh well, revised review. Much as I hate to say it I can only think that Bearpaws QC isn t paying attention because the sole split on both left and right boot in Exactly the Same Place right along the edge which is making trying to glue it together not easy and will most likely break the bond even if it does take. I've still got a pair of tall boots from years ago and the soles are fine and wore those indoors and out, these however I've only worn inside house, got them in March 2018. Out of return window too bad for me. Make sure to check yours if you buy any, bend/flex the boot first, it's obviously a factory defect since it's in the exact same spot on both right sole and left sole. Too thin on the rubber used. Check out the pics, the glued and the unglued.1This brand runs a bit small for me.Just received these today. Have to buy men s 9.5 because that usually equals to a women s 11.5 shoe. Been doing that for years when needed. Difficult to find womens 11.5.As soon as I put them on I realized my toe was getting scrunched up a bit. That was without socks. Would be very uncomfortable for me to wear these because of that.I think they are very cute, and almost exactly what I was looking for. Shorter than what I wanted and am used to and a bit stiffer in the ankle area for me. I knew there wouldn t be a zipper but maybe if there was a zipper it would make them some what more flexible? They look like they would hold up ok.So I m thinking this brand runs a bit smaller. I can easily wear other brands in men s 9.5. just not this brand.Might send them back, might take to shoe repair place and have them stretched or stretch them myself. I don t think it would take too much to stretch them long enough for my best fit. Said free return and that s always a plus when needed as well.3Sizing just right for us! Great quality.Reading the reviews, I was so concerned about getting the sizing right, however, it appears most sizing issues relate to larger sizing. I ordered an 8 for my son who is 7.5 and he has a little room to spare, just right with thick socks. My husband is a size 9 and tried them on, he said they were tight - he would definitely need a 9. So from our experience, if you re a men s size 8, and order an 8, you should be all good! The quality is there, feels solid and the lining is soft, not cheaply made. The sole is going to be great for outdoors - it has great tread. Very happy with our purchase.5Made for Children apparently.Took a very long time to arrive and when it did these are way too small. Not even close, I can't even get my foot started in them, and sadly, this is the largest size they offer. I don't know how they cut their patterns but these are way off. Really sad as I was looking forward to these and they appear nicely made but for a size 13 supposedly they are more like an 8-9. :( If you are lucky enough to have smaller feet order at least two sizes larger than what you would normally wear.1Need to Know Before BuyingI was a little bit worried about sizing when I read the conflicting reviews. With a little preparation, I bought the right size. (Amazon's free returns makes for easy exchange, though.) I typically wear men's 8-9 (usually 8.5) and 9 is the right fit for me in these boots.Before buying sheepskin products, you need to know a few things about them. First, a lot of people wear them without socks. You don't have to do this, but know that the sizing may not include room for socks, so you'll need to add that when figuring out your size.Next, know that all sheepskin shoes/boots/slippers are snug in the beginning when properly fitted. The lining conforms to your foot over time. If you do buy a boot that starts out being as loose as a typical boot, it will be too big after a little wear. When deciding whether a sheepskin boot fits or not, pay attention to where your foot is in relation to the structure of the boot, knowing that the lining itself WILL wear down some.Last, despite that a lot of people wear sheepskin boots in the middle of the winter, they are really not ideal for those conditions. If you are going to wear them in wet conditions, treat the leather first so that it repels water and stains.Now, in terms of sizing, my recommendation is that you go to Bearpaw's website and use their sizing instructions to find the correct size. This will give you the best chance of getting the correct size on the first try. If you plan on wearing socks with your boots, consider measuring your foot with the socks.I am very happy with this boot and am looking forward to breaking it in when the cooler weather begins. I will update this review if there's anything worthy of noting as they get broken in and put through the test of a midwest winter.Update: I've had these for a while now and I love them! I treated them with a protective spray and as you can see, it has kept them looking great. I never thought I would be able to comfortably wear boots without socks, but I rarely wear these with socks. In fact, they keep my feet warm without socks in weather that has always before left me miserable due to cold feet. I'm adding some pictures of the boots after I have used them for a few months. I'm not doing much outside stuff with them. I wear them mostly around the house both during the day and at night. I live on a farm, so my muck boots come off in the mud room, and these go on. I'll wear them out to the garage if I have to grab something from the freezer, or out on my concrete patios if I'm grabbing firewood or feeding the dog and cat. I have always hated how regular slippers, even 'mid height" ones, still leave the top of my feet and ankles cold. These take care of that nicely.I wear a 13 boot and bought these in a 13. As others have said, you have to give the lining time to compress. After wearing them a while, I'm now able to slip my bare feet straight into them. I still have to give an assist if I'm wearing socks, but once my feet are in I feel like I have plenty of space. I wear EE width boots, and my toes don't feel tight in these at all. At half the price of Uggs, recommended. If Amazon weren't out of my size right now, I would order a second pair just to stick in the closet, since shoes that I like always seem to disappear right after I discover them.5Difficult to Find the Correct SizeI can t really comment on the quality of the Bearpaw Boots because I was never able to get a correct size. I read all of the reviews and the majority of the reviewers indicated that the boots ran small. There were suggestions of getting up to 2 sizes larger than your regular size. I bought these boots for my husband; he wears a 10.5 in all his shoes. Based on the reviews I thought it would make sense to purchase the size 12. When they arrived they were too large, we returned them and got a size 11. There did not appear to be much of a difference in size between the size 11 or 12 s. We returned these and ordered the size 10. Based on our previous two attempts we figured that the 10 s would be perfect. Believe it or not the 10 s were larger than the 12 s. So at this point we went with the two reviews that indicated that the boots should be snug and they would stretch once you began to wear them. We made our 4th order and purchased size 9, hoping that they would finally fit. As you would suspect they were too small. We have now given up on trying to purchase the Bearpaw Men s Boots. It might be possible that these books are difficult to fit because some people might be wearing socks with the boots. Neither my husband nor I wear socks when we are wearing this type of boot.3
