Great Short for Men Who Prefer Shorter ShortsMy waist size is a 36. I have larger glutes and thighs. Based on other reviewers' suggestion, I purchased an XL to allow more room in the legs and seat. The crotch area is a tad baggy but turning the waistband down once resolves that issue, which I don't mind. There is NO draw chord, which is disappointing, and the key pocket is small but will stretch a bit to accommodate a larger key or other item. These are short shorts so wearing them in the gym may draw stares, however I don't consider them ridiculously short especially for those who prefer shorter lengths. The liner feels nice, but it is white and may be noticeable during certain exercises. For running, I love the shorts, however I found that the liner did NOT provide adequate support so I wore supportive gear underneath. 4Love them! really light weight and can dip into the pool to cool off after a hot runYep, super light weight and quick drying...exactly what I was looking for. When it's hot out, these are going to be my default summer shorts. A run followed by a stop at the pool, rinse off with the shower there and a quick dip for a couple laps...perfect morning run.Size: I wear size 31 generally. The Small fit me really well. I've had not problems with it riding up or rubbing oddly. I do use them commando, in case that comes into play with the fit.Material: really thin and light-weight. I needed that, getting hot for my morning runs, so need as light as I can. If anyone is concerned about the longevity of the material...honestly, I don't care about that. With the cost of going to my local sport stores and buying shorts, I'd rather buy a replacement pair of these at the lower price and probably still come in as spending less.When I ordered these, I had just ordered another pair on amazon that was cheaper, out of China and took 3 weeks to arrive. They were both a gamble, of course. The cheaper pair are useless for me, size was crazy, fit was bad for me, now they are sleeping shorts for my wife :)The reviews on Baleaf were really helpful when I came across their products, then some research lead me to this particular pair that seemed to fit the bill for me, so I gave them a shot.I'm so glad I did, because after this review, I'm ordering another pair, maybe check out one of their other products to try out, too.I recommend these totally! I honestly do love them, perfect for what I was looking for. 5Surpassed My Expectations!I m always skeptical of ordering clothes online, just because of the fear that they won t fit when they arrive. I m a pretty tall guy (6 3) and skinny so finding good fitting clothes is a little bit of a sturggle. I am a distance runner myself and so finding a great pair of running shorts is like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. I decided to give these a try because 1. They were cheap and 2. It had some pretty good reviews. Boy was I happy with what came to my doorstep - I ordered the medium size and they fit PERFECTLY. Combined with the fit, and the extreme lightweight fabric, these shorts were like running in comparable brand s shorts (i.e. nike). If you re on the edge of trying these out, I would recommend trying them out. 5Excellent running shorts, I plan on ordering a few more.... See photosI took a few photos so folks can see how the running shorts are. For me, unless I have some good visuals, there is so much variety/options, it is difficult to tell some times. However the shorts are excellent, excellent quality, fit and so far excellent top to bottom. I am about 5' 10", 180lbs, 33" waist, order medium shorts, they fit great! Will certainly order again, as well as the other shorts Baleaf has listed once they receive the medium size in stock. I don't mind the shorter sides, however I am also going to order the other pair of running shorts they have that have a slightly longer side to them. One suggestion for Baleaf; might be better if the liner isn't white. When you are stretching in some positions, the white liner sort of gives your 'area' too much focus, because of the stark white against the navy blue shorts. However not a deal breaker and I like the inner pocket, which you see in the pics I have posted. Thank you! 5Isn't as long as it looks...The short is shorter than what it looks on the picture and leaves you with a 80-90th running look. If you have large thighs, it will go up your legs and allow a lot of friction to happen. If you are buying it, get a longer, tightly fit under-short that will protect your legs during the workout. In my case, the vendor was able to send me a longer one as a replacement, and fit perfectly, hence 5*! 5Great pair for runningSIZING: I'm waist 33-34 and got a medium. Fits perfectly. There are no adjustable elastic bands but they hold during activity so it's not a problem. They're also very light and have a inside pocket for keys/credit cards. The inner mesh feels comfortable. recommended. 5Just a little longer then silkiesGreat shorts especially if your looking for something just a little longer then silkies. In my opinion the perfect length sort enough to not get in the way but long enough to prevent chafing. 4Great shorts at any price!I was super unsure of these when ordering them. I read tons of reviews, hemmed and hawed, and then finally I pulled the trigger. I should have bought these much earlier. These cover all the basics, length as described, mesh liner that is the right tightness, shear wicking material, and key pocket. The only thing they don t have is a drawstring to tighten these up, however they fit well fresh out of the box. I prioritize having minimal shorts, no side pockets, no extra jazz, just something to cover my no-no areas and keep them from dancing around while I try to win the olympics in my head. I plan to buy all the colors in due time. 4and was very happy with the way they sit (didn't ride up your ...OK did 1 15K in these this weekend, and was very happy with the way they sit (didn't ride up your leg). I will add one comment though and that is to wash them when you first get them, everyone thought i was bleeding because the lower part of my shirt turned red from bleed through of the shorts. Other than that i will be buying more of these as they are great for the price, now we will see how long they last. 4Better for muscular thighs than SoffeGood alternative to Soffe if you have thick, muscular thighs. Also not as transparent as Soffe.I compared Baleaf grey to Soffe black rinse, both in size M, on a 33 waist. The Soffe rode up my thighs more, and I could feel the hems. The Soffe would have been see-through if not for the doubling up of fabric thanks to the liner.The Baleaf were an inch bigger in every direction except the waist, which gave my legs more freedom of movement. (They are still very short.) The hems didn t bother me, and the leg was cut at a steeper, more flattering diagonal. However, the Baleaf are more baggy and billowy, and if you don t have big legs you might not appreciate the extra room. 5
