Badass eBikes proudly presents: the improved BadassBox 4 Shimano.
The badassBox 4 is the result of over a year of development work. We completely redesigned the case, made it slimmer, and replaced the O-ring of previous versions with our patented snap closure. Slimmer means there are no longer too tight installation situations. The sensor application is only a minimum of 3 mm - less is hardly possible. With the new snap closure, you can put the badassBox on and off in no time at all with just one hand. On customer request, we have also provided an optional attachment securing by means of cable ties on the snap closure.

We have replaced the CR2 with one AAA battery. Replacement for the included battery is available at a reasonable price and proverbial on every corner. The replacement can be carried out on site without tools in no time. You only have to do this once a year or after over 7000 km, because we have increased the range of the badassBox again. This was made possible by our specially developed and patented field amplification technology FEET (Field Enhancement & Elimination Technology). To protect against moisture and mechanical stress on the wheel, the electronics are glued into the housing with a special casting compound and completely sealed.

We develop and manufacture the badassBox completely the same. Before and after casting, we check each individual badassBox for correct function. Customer satisfaction and quality are our top priority.

Assembly
The badassBox 4 Shimano is mounted via the Shimano speed sensor next to the rear wheel. When the snap lock locks into place, the badassBox is securely attached to the sensor. Optionally, the badassBox can be additionally secured by means of a cable tie.

For the first installation, the included spoke magnet must be mounted instead of the original magnet. Our spoke magnet works identically to the original magnet without badassBox, but is necessary for the function with our patented field reinforcement when the badassBox is attached. After placing the badassBox on the sensor, the spoke magnet must be moved towards the housing edge in the direction of the snap closure. If the spoke magnet touches the badassBox, the spoke magnet must be placed as close as possible to the badassBox and rotated by 90. Done!

After removing the badassBox, the spoke magnet must be reset to its original position.

How it works:
The badassBox transmits a changed signal without contact without electrical connection to the motor, without intervention in the engine electronics or software to exceed the speed limit. It is not necessary to open the engine elaborately. There is no risk of damage. The badassBox can be put on and taken off in seconds and the e-bike returns to its previous legal state.

With all the advantages, an incorrect speed, as well as derived values, are displayed in principle. We recommend the use of GPS-related additional devices (mobile phone, bicycle computer, etc.) for an already more accurate driving data recording.
